Love to see James being a proud Billie Eilish fan!

Bear

So if anyone was wondering most people go though multiple midlife crisis. The must common one people know but don't think about is during teen when you explore your identity.

bob berry

No not yet, when i filter on video it only shows me 54 posts in the app, are you able to see the video versions of the older episodes as well?

Loes

You ever figure it out? It took me a few days I just joined Friday, had to figure out how to use the filters in the app

TJ

James pronounces players the same way Fuhad says prayers Just saying guys! You owe Fuhad an apology for coming at him the way you did lol.

Shari O'Hare

They’ll certainly try

Nathasha Jayamanne

Ferrari on top

Tullio Raffaele Puoti

Will you guys get into F1? You’ve got 4 1/2 British drivers. Few of the best in the world. If you do get into F1, please support McLaren

Dwysan Williams

Omg yess to James' song of the week. The first time I listened to Wildflower I felt it deep *pause* Billie is my artist of the year.

Nic Phillips

Thanks for responding! No i still haven’t figured it out.. the first older patreon episode I’m able to find the video of is EP368, the rest is all just audio, does it depend on whether you’re using the app on your phone or if you’re on your laptop maybe?

Loes

Did you come right? I see the videos for older Patreon episodes

Simone

Quanda Sellers

Fernando Garay

I need Fu to branch into nee genres. His songs are good but always the same vibe.

Kadie

Logic talks about being mixed OD. It’s annoying and we get it. I don’t think anyone cares about him saying the N word cause he says he’s mixed every 7 secs.

Xan the Dezigner

Song of the week: All the noise -Manana

Mel

Im new here. I would like to find the episodes where they talk about the show From? How can I search the episode show recaps?

Ada Saldi

Yo Ellis, I'd encourage you to jump on learning guitar. I think the biggest thing beginners get in their head about is the time commitment, thinking "ah I need to put hours and hours into this every day". That never works and in fact almost does the opposite of what you'd want, the key thing with any instrument is just consistency. Instead of trying to commit a huge chunk of time per week, rather commit a small chunk per day. Literally just squeeze in 10-15 min a day and you'll see you'll make a lot more progress than trying to do an hour or two only once a week. Think about when you learned how to use editing software, you probably grabbed whatever spare time you had to try and learn softwares and techniques and whatnot, grabbing 10 min here or half an hour there. Yes you probably had days where you were able to just sink hours into it but I can guarantee that it was the sum of all those smaller but consistent periods that had the most benefit. So I would say just jump in with the guitar and give any spare 10 min to it that you can, it might feel slow at first but once you pick up the momentum you'll just keep going. Will be awesome to see you give it a go man!

Jarred Kerr

Guys I’m in need of some help🥺 Finally became a cult baby but now i only see the audio versions of the older patreon episodes.. Is that correct or am I missing something? The facial expressions just add that little extra to the jokes😅

Loes

WHY DO I FEEL THIS WHOLE EPISODE WAS MADE FOR ME could write essays to you man on this episode and it’s relevance to being a photographer to the learning guitar which I’ve done lessons for a year now and It’s fukin hard but worth it !!!!!!! Do it !!!!

Aisha D

Welcome in.

Meghan Barton

Paused the episode mid way through to say ‘Fucking thank you Rem! Help this man get himself willing on the shit he wants to do! An hour every Saturday after 2 years is over 100 hours. It doesn’t even include the mental aspect of when you start doing it, you’ll be thinking of ways to improve since you’ve created an avenue to progress. Super cool. My name is joan, and I endorse this message.’

Joan Paulino

I love the passion when Fuhad chats United/football but he never knows the facts 😂

Zoheb

It would be amazing to build a car, a functioning car. The feeling of knowing you built that! That’s always been my dream hobby! Good one REM

Deneena LTD Zbella

can you guys also review 1-2 new songs from fans for song of the week? maybe we can give you new music! my submission would be backstreets by don toliver

Davit Tadevosyan

The joy James has in talking about how he cooks steak is similar to Bob from Bobs burger cooking a turkey.

Mel

Damn it’s so sad that people come to America and their stomachs get messed up. And we have to eat this everyday

Esther

As an American die hard NBA fan watching everything, I got opinions, the cavs have been unreal, Mitchell and garland are definitely coming into their own, and Allen and Mobley are filling every gap on defense, the all around play from everyone is crazy, but to be honest, I have worries come playoff time, I see this team going out like the thunder did last year. The Warriors have been really good, curry looks to be in peak form as usual, Draymond green is defensive player of the year, and the strength in numbers motto is in full effect, the most fun team in ball, the Celtics are doing as expected, the lakers are playing great because they finally have some shooting and Anthony Davis finally realized he’s the best big man in the league, and the rockets are under the radar one of them better teams, a group of young and hungry players, don’t be suprised if they go into the playoffs with home court advantage, could talk all day about the NBA, loved the segment on it James

Chris Burton

Greetings and welcome, like any cult once you join you can’t leave so make some friends.

Kelvin Ameyaw

Ellis of you’re at home acting out scripts I think it’s time to cut the camera on and document it. That sounds like exactly what James was saying to just do the thing you’re passionate about!

Jordan Leach (JPhrygian)

James sir you're talking out your ass! My Cavs have outstanding players! Mitchell is freaking a beast! All Star Player. Garland another future all star. Mobley is a hell of a presence. Put some respect on my Cavs brother.

Reynold Rosado

Certain pants he wears shows Little James taking a seat on his lap. There's nothing he can do about it lol

Also, salt your steak the night before and leave it uncovered in the fridge, the salty water will reabsorb into the steak and you’ll have a dry surface and a seasoned steak all the way through.

tom oyugi

Proud of you 👏🏽 ❤️

Chelsea Adams

Given the love both James and Ellis's have for lyrics/bars/rhymes, I really think they should checkout an artist called Ren!

Ria L

REM is right and to be quite honest, he doesn’t know if he has time. Time isn’t promised to us. He should lock in an hour every Saturday. I think REM is 100% right now

Tara

Same! Writing this comment not even midway through. I love you guys. You’re awesome. Thank you for doing what you do ❤️

Skeezyy

Not even finished the ep and it's my favourate already, the convos awesome 🫡🔥

Gi Roamer

OK, so Texas boy here. Have to weigh in on Steak convo. Fuhad, Olive oil really. No sir, I have it paused right there as I type. James, Avocado oil is cool but coconut oil will burn. Grapeseed oil is good as well. Never cook meat to feel or time, cook to temp. Get you a good meat thermometer. Lavatools Javelin Pro is epic, it reads almost immediately. James, your technique is A1 but if you want to take to next level look into Sous Vide. Will change your life. Love the show, Holla at ya boy

Los

I wanna take cooking classes

Love episodes like this!!! We get the jokey jokes and deep convo 💙💚❤️

Shaunda

That visual of James when he stepped out the shower… 👀 loved the episode 😄

Lisa

I really identified with this episode today. I’ve been in corporate since I’ve graduated college in 2018 while also pursing music as an artist while running a creative agency. I’ve definitely been discouraged throughout the years feeling like what I’m doing is over saturated but the good shit always cuts through. This was a nice reminder to let me know I’m headed in the right direction. Hopefully I can leave this job at some point to be a full time creative 😂

Tyrell Thomas

Rem’s song is called nine thirty BTW

booyaka booyaka

Man I needed that motivational rant this morning.

Katherine Acker

Ellis would be an awesome voice actor for kids’ shows

booyaka booyaka

You guys these episodes where you chat are why i started listening in 2020. Thanks for another one. Glad the real fans got to hear it ✊🏿

I loved doing Make up.🤗 Traditional and Airbrush Make up and had a Make over Company, back in the early noughties. I had a niche in the market doing Air Brush Make Up and I found it became Seasonal (Mostly Brides). 👍 I was exceedingly busy in the Summer and had to turn people away. The rest of the year was HM!!!!😢👎 In the end, I gave up the Studio and Staff (All of whom I had trained as well). I tried to make more money by doing Master Classes for Professional Make Up Artists and simple courses (for first timers) wanting to learn how to apply their Make Up. Someone suggested that to make extra money - I was to go into 'Beauty' - E.g. Waxing etc. Which I hated! I LOVED making women and men look beautiful. Yes - Bridegrooms wanted to be airbrushed on their faces too and if bald - their entire head - They looked Amazing! I remember one groom - His mates were teasing him about having make up. When he stepped out - his face and bald head looked amazing - he did not look made up. IMMEDIATELY - The guys were like - "What did you do again?! WHAT is airbrush make up?!". LOL! He looked as though he'd gone on a holiday. They heard make up and the guys were cackling - "IS he going to come out with lipstick or blusher?". 💄💋We could hear them teasing and teasing! When I finished and he came out to join them - They were silent and impressed!🥰 After initially doing a lot of Advertising; Appearing at a lot of National and Local Exhibitions doing Editorial work and even appearing on BEN TV, I found I still struggled. If I made the money I had made over the Summer all year round, I would have been laughing all the way to the Bank. I had a Passion but lacked Business acumen and the people I hired to support and advice me - were honest. The business was such a niche they had no clue how best to advise me! They felt it was too high end! The PR company I hired were honest as Air brush make up at the time was unique! She did not know where to take me. I pumped all this money in initially, using my family home as collateral. My home that my adoptive dad had fully paid for in 1972 was re-mortgaged by me to pump money into this Business. I was excellent at what I did, the demands were there in the Summer Weddings, I just needed a company to advise me on how to keep the demand all round the year!😒😢I was good at what I did, I just needed guidance with the business side of things! But back then people didn't know how to direct me. From the free business advise give by Local Authorities to VERY EXPENSIVE PR companies/ Management I paid from re-mortgaging my home!😒😭 I had all these beautiful brides and in the end the brides became my advert as I had people contacting me saying they wanted me to do their make up as they had been to someone's wedding! Also I did so much work because Air brush make up at the time only had 2 foundations for people of colour! So I did my homework, trying to find the right make up texture for black skin that could go through the airbrush kit. I finally got them and did a lot of mixing etc. The result - I had a huge client list of all races. I used the foundation for my white clients that came with the kit (with other foundations) and the 2 foundations for black skin and all the other foundations I had found. I soon learned very quickly that some foundations that say Oil free' were in fact full of glycerine, which clogged the kit. With the led work I soon found foundations that were truly 'water based'. Anyway. I lost my home: -( I was advised to go to Bayswater, and open up my Make Over Company there. Someone said she would join me and we would share the Bill, she however, at the last minute - let me down. Anyway I felt bad as the demand was there in the Summer so much so I had to send prospective brides and clients to a company in Central London where I had been trained, but it was expensive for them. I still have the Air brush kit etc, I have my Logo from when I had the Business. Photographers kept contacting me as brides looked amazing. But it just did not work. Because they were coming to me for work, when I needed them to introduce me to their clients. I did the make up of a Hollywood star and she was so impressed she took all my business cards etc saying she was going to France and would be back to London. Sadly the owner of the building kicked me out saying he felt sorry for me because I was paying my staff and the rent from money from my family home and his conscience could not take it. So I was gone before this dear lady came back. It was just horrible and I did not have her number. I gave it all up and got a 9 to 5 job. Even at work - I had brides to be calling me to say they had seen my work, brides I had done and please could I PLEASE do their make up as well. I told them, I had moved on. I enjoyed doing the make up as it started as a hobby but business wise - it was difficult. Ellis made a point about 'rubbish'. I would get frustrated looking at make up artists work they were praising and I would go - what! Even clients would call me saying - you need to be known out there! I never criticise other make up artist work. I even tried TV and they said - which Programme. It was frustrating. I don't criticise other people's work, but I drew the line when I saw the make up of a black News Anchor and her entire face was GREEN! It was either the lighting in the studio or the tone of the foundation was wrong. I phoned the News Channel and they said - You are not the only one to phone up horrified! 😱😱 It was frustrating - I had the talent - but not the access into these places!🤔 I just gave up! Looking at that poor woman's face and I knew I could fix it but to get into TV, I soon found out it was whom you knew! So with the greatest humility not everyone out there and well known for their craft are necessarily the best! Since then of course my health has not been what it used to be. So I can no longer stand for hours. I LOVED watching the transformations and miss seeing the face of my excited brides as they saw their faces. However having a hobby and being good at what you do and even (as in back then) having a niche in the market - if you don't have the good business PR - there is no point!🤔 I went to the 'setting up your own business courses' held by my Local Authority and they were all stomped as bac then no one knew about air brush make up, so did not know how to advise me. I also understood why so many make up artists work at Departmental Stores. So for me - The passion was there, the gift was there, the demand was there but it was Seasonal! Britain is EXPENSIVE! You can't survive on a Seasonal Business. Today people marry all round the year but back then it was MOSTLY Summer - Turning prospective brides away in the Summer because I was OVER STRETCHED was hard! I even had an Italian bride whose make up I did who had an Italian Photographer who had flown in and she was desperate to see if we could work together as she she felt Europeans were more glamorous than Brits and maybe I needed to be in a place like Europe, where women took their looks seriously (her words not mine). I was not ready to go to Italy. I know no one there. At one stage people suggested America, saying Americans were more beauty conscious than our British ladies. (Not my words). Today though I look at younger women in their late teens, twenties and thirties and the British ladies are now more make up conscious. Anyway that was in the early noughties to mid noughties. I lost touch with everyone and just put everything behind me. If I had a good PR Company back then - with good advice - it would have been a huge success because of the demand. Anyway - That's that for that! I don't even touch make up now. LOL! 😊 I don't even make my own face up now! This was raw sharing this! So having a passion, being excellent at what you do, enjoying what you do but without having good people to advise you on how to take your hobby forward. Will result in a lot of pain! Not long ago, someone said - to me OMG! they now do airbrush make up in one of the high end Departmental stores. I went to have a look as they demonstrated! YIKES! the make up was too thick - the rotation was different. OH! I should have said the lady who trained me at Charles Fox, Covent garden back then - over 20 years ago - was herself trained by the guy who started this format of make up in Hollywood years ago. So she explained that back then Stars like Halle Berry, J Lo etc all wore air brush make - because it gave that light flawless look! Anyway that was years ago now. I don't even wear make up now nor do other peoples make up (Traditional or Airbrush). Is it still a traumatic time of my life. The greatest joy because of the demand and the women who were over joyed but the saddest because I lost my family home trying to keep up expenses! I also lost a friend. She was eager to be a part of it by bringing in her own skills, but at the last minute said - Following discussions with her husband and she also doing some thinking - it was too much of a risk for her to leave her 9 to 5 job and embark on a business- not even part time! By which time - it was to late for me as I had signed the contract and committed to landlord at Bayswater for his Studio! (She was the one who had advised me to go to Bayswater as the type of clientele I needed would be there. Bayswater, in Central London, is an EXPENSIVE neighbourhood!). So what should have been profit was used paying her half of the Bill. YIKES! Be careful of people who say one thing and do something else. Hence I admire Fuhad - he never let James down! Once he said he would go ahead - he became a man of his word! My 'friend' did me bad! Pulled out at the last minute - after I had committed - so I was faced with a HUGE Bill before I even started!🤔. Not to worry. I have forgiven her. I met someone who works on a Christian Radio Station. I told her what happened to me. She said she used to be a florist and now following her experience she will not have one flower in her home. So having the talent and drive is one thing and turning your hobby (as I did) into a business - I learned the hard way that - that is not what makes a successful business. You HAVE to have the right people leading and directing the business side of things - especially when as in my case - you have a niche in the market 🤔 Anyway that was over 20 years ago. I'm not as fit as I used to be🤣- part of which required - standing for hours. Thanks for reading this! I just needed to share my reality check!

God's Child

😂😂 james talking about the mirror 🤣

booyaka booyaka

I feel like a creative at heart so painting would be something I would do

Andrea Jones

I was wondering if that was my stomach 🤣🤣

Roje Anderson

Genuinely enjoyed this episode, it felt nostalgic…old pods with just chatter and vibes. Wholesome episode. 🌻 Love, love, love.

Khanyi ✨

this episode was amazing! such nice topics and amazing mindsets. Ellis just has my heart 💗

찬니

It’s not oversaturated because no one else is YOU. I quit my corporate accounting job 2 years ago to pursue my dream. There are times where it’s been super hard, but even when it’s stressful, I’d rather be stressed doing what I love than doing something I hate. I love the personal growth chats y’all have, it’s super wholesome 🫶🏼

Alison Jury

Halfway through this episode and I'm already contemplating new life plans. "Paralyzes by analyzes" (*spelling not judged😅)

Essence D.D.

I quit my job 4years ago to start something I had never done before or did I study. Didn’t have a backup and just went for it. And today I’m now self-employed and run my business while being a mama so I never miss anytime with my son ♥️ JUST GO FOR IT 🌍

Rosalia Designs

What a wholesome episode!! James after listening to you in ep 282 ‘Just do it scared’ I was encouraged to get out of my comfort zone and begin doing something I’ve always been putting off; writing with the intent to publish a children’s book. This ep felt like a another reminder 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Lilly

Terrible terrible episode..

Tyler Robinson

All his comments I've seen have been negative

Yan

Amazing episode but could you make a segment about song recommendations you found in the comments

Sela.D

guys please listen to wildflower when she did the studio recording. because oh my lord it’s amazing!!!

Alexas Pritchard

After work my time goes in to working on like amvs honestly it's so fun working on projects with beautiful animation and then the timing of a well good song is so amazing. Obviously when I have more time in the future I'd like to make my own animation.

Sam Palmer

Song of the Week : “Mad” - A Reece

Musa Sikakane

If time, exhaustion and my fibromyalgia wasnt a factor id love to learn how to dance like im in honey or step up lol

Kayleigh

I would take and document really scenic/famous walks or treks in different areas/countries; or flip houses.

J.

So i have to jump in on this cause i thought about coming too. *pause* in japanese they say 行く(iku, sounds like eeqoo) which means "to go". Which now has ne wondering how every other language makes it sound

iTamashi-chan

I would love to be a casting director. I am so passionate about casting for cinema. Also, writing & publishing a novel. I’ve been writing since I was in grade school.

Azsah Rescili

Check out Mood by Dear Silas, I think yall would like that. he slides on that track

Kakashi Hatake

Don’t know, found this ep boring. No connections, dilemmas, am I the arsehole. Where’s the games gone? I skipped through this whole ep and didn’t make it to the end. This could of been a Monday ep. Hour long of nothingness.

Robyn

James should get into a channel called Guga foods. This guy's entire channel is steak experimentation

Sam Mountjoy

Missed eps like this! 💫

Miryam

Finally dropping the self poisoning! ❤️‍🔥

Miryam

I’ve always wanted to do something in entertainment. Like acting, dancing, singing, voice acting, etc. I’ve been saying I’m gonna start looking into how to get started for the longest😩.

Kurama Jones

Bro I enjoy it and I'm American quit being negative

Rob

James is the man of my dreams 😍🙈☺️

Nayma

I'm with Rem, I would LOOOOVE to fix up, build and modify cars. I've been dreaming of it since I was a kid. But I've always put financial responsibility first 🤮 lol. But I'm hoping by after I'm 35 I'll feel stable enough to start sinking money into it. I just have to wait 2 more years

Malcolm Guidry

Because it's STEAK, that's why. Also, Fuhad didn't wash his STEAK either. Why? Again, because it's STEAK

Tonya

What don't you like about it?

Tonya

You could slowly start from your home with word of mouth. I have heard of people even doing this through uber eats and door dash, you can choose what hours you are available. Go after your passion!!!

Tonya

If time and exhaustion wasn’t a thing? It sounds so mundane, but I would be an event planner or coordinator. I really like seeing projects through from top to bottom and if I had more time, I feel like I would take more ownership of things like planning parties for friends or researching destinations for places to go when you travel. And build up a network of contacts locally and internationally so that way I have a pool of resources to pull from whenever a friend is like “Hey, where should we go for x, y, z?” That’s in addition to my corporate job as a project manager, (there’s a theme here lol), and trying to work my dream of being an actor off the ground. I took a pretty hard rejection today and was feeling like shit by the time I turned the episode on. My hours are already long with everything I’ve got going on, but I get the feeling they’re about to be a lot longer, because this episode just told me to get up and keep going. I just need to find my passion for it again.

Omg!!! James & the advertising is NEXT LEVEL. I actually sit through your advert. Boys I’m a 54 yr old woman wtf to I give a damn about manscape? But now I know there are 6 million balls in the world all trimmed up! It’s nuts (no pun intended) but straight up it’s your presentation I’m so entertained that I now know, Sierra November Golf gets me 10% off if I ever care. You guys are extremely entertaining and it’s been a joy to watch ur relationship & interactions. ❤️

When James Talks About Cooking I Juss Smile The Whole Time

If time and exhaustion weren’t a thing, I would own a bakery that sells Jamaican/Caribbean desserts and treats. My aunts and family members who were the bakers in the family are getting older and I don’t want the heart of the culture (food) to fizzle. I’m the aunty that bakes in my family and I would love to have this to pass down to the next generation.

Fuhad should dj on his twitch stream

Reginald R. King

I feel like all of the careers they would also pursue along with doing the pod can be made into their own log cabin episode. Except for Rem's dedicate ep, an instructor would show them how to make a part of a car.

Dara

Love the intro about motivation! I have a very hectic corporate job that I do enjoy but I needed something outside of that! I love photography and bought a camera 5 months ago but started taking pictures a few weeks ago and I am loving it, I even started an instagram page for it, check out my amateur pics at: pixs_by_eve

Ana Rivera

Always wanted to learn to play piano. I bought a keyboard years ago to teach myself. Started so motivated and then stopped after having kids. Life just got in the way, but I would still love to do it. Ooooh I also always wanted to learn how to knit and crochet.

Danielle King

That's alright! First loss of the season 😋😌

Ellis calling late 20's/early 30's "late in life" is WILD!! 😂😂😂

Nikki

I work in the healthcare field as a Health System Specialist for Access for various outpatient specialties for the largest healthcare organization in the U.S. and co-owner of a vending machine business with my 2 sisters. I talked them into doing it with me. It took me 2 years after I thought about starting the business before I talked to them about it and took the steps to move forward with. I regret not starting my own business sooner. I do wish I went after my dream to be a personal shopper for people (I ❤️ styling people). All in all I’m lucky because I love both of my jobs.

I started writing a book in 2015. I finished it this year. Only 132 pages, though. I hope to get it published, but only the people can decide if it's actually good or not. (Moral: If there's something you passionately want to do, start early. Life will life and constantly rain obstacles down on you.) Gym has been iffy. I sneezed and it murked my back in September. I still trained, but toned the intensity down a bit, hoping the pain would eventually go away. Sneezed again last Thursday and it took me out, so I went to a chiropractor this week and apparently the sneezing had made parts of my spine curve in ways they shouldn't which ended up pinching some nerves. Song of the week: Enemy by Imagine Dragons. I'm locked in on ARCANE.

If time and exhaustion wasn’t a thing, I’d love to bring to life the music videos I see in my head when I listen to music.

Rn I currently work the front desk at a therapy office where we treat pediatric patients for speech, occupational & physical therapy. I use to want to be a veterinarian & even took the biology classes for it in college. But now I think I want to work with children with special needs, specifically kids with autism. I love interacting with them at work and seeing the growth & the skills they learn at therapy is amazing and so heart warming! I love it

My husband and I did just that. He quit his job and we started a custom design business. I went back to school for business and now I’m starting my own separate business. Go for your dreams and don’t let nobody hold you down!

Kiki

It's funny cuz when I watched u guys on 90s baby's podcast, I was literally saying to my friend, I can see in James' eyes that he just wants to shake it all up and take them higher but he's just there as a guest 🤣🤣 she's a 90s baby fan and I'm SnG fan so I was explaining why I love James so much. It's literally his business brain which is just🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 and he's now said it lol
