I had to listen to you read the AITA again to figure out how I feel about it... "my partner's close friend and boss" ... So not his/her friend... I agree they shouldn't have even been in there in the first place... If I put myself in their shoes and my partner's close friend needed an organ; I'm not involved.. there are very few ppl in my life that I would give an organ to if they needed it (most of my family, my partner, and my best friend -- that's it)... an organ for someone I am not personally close to... nahhh. If somehow, my partner begged me and I caved and was like fine, I'll save your close friend, and at some point leading up to the surgery they tried to have my partner arrested for whatever, or they caused great harm to me or my family, best believe I'm out... I'm not doing it. TF? The boss should have done his research, then talked to his friend and been like look, this is the situation, can you explain whats going on here in the CCTV... Take the answer at face value, or collect the evidence and keep it for later.... He should have thought about what was most important in the moment, and he put himself in that situation. Anyone I would give an organ to wouldn't try to have me or my partner arrested. Period.
