Got more planned this month, but because all the proverbial pans I have on the fire aren't quite done cooking, I felt it was worth sharing some little practice pieces and edited updates in the meantime! As I like to be transparent about in chat, the MS is pretty thoroughly kicking my ass as of late so my output has been a little slower than I'd like. I do think the treatment is helping, it's just obscenely slow going in its progress. Ain't that just the way. Hoping with next month's shot I'll be in better shape! Still keeping up best I can, still making art.
SO WHAT DO I GOT:
A provocative practice paint of a noble knight. I'm still continuing my trend of filling in the faces / head region of my figure drawings with knight helms. It saves me a lot of time when I need to squeeze some quick studies in.
With encouragement from you folks, I've been returning to finishing my Isklen elf species reference page! Looking forward to playing with all the fun variety these big 'ol beast elves can come in— though it's always hard to settle, I always feel like I can do more. HOWEVER, I'm trying to do better about overcoming a lot of my OCD orientated habits. If I can just get out SOMETHING, it doesn't HAVE to be perfect, just share it with the world and you can update / edit later. So now I'm just chucking whatever sketches and lore chunks I have into a designated tab in the server, and let people peruse as they please!
The last one is actually an old piece, and one I was very fond of given how indulgently I went in on that coloring. Alas, the anatomy was pretty busted according to my current eye, so I gave it all a bit of an adjustment! Some old art refurbishment. Not perfect, but a Ceran piece I'm happy to use again. Saturday morning and you've given up? Donuts help with that.
