Start your weekend right with ME. Jeremy Parish. My voice, in your ear, for THIRTY MINUTES.
Oh, sorry, that sounded more like a threat than enticement, huh? But, in all seriousness, it's a new episode of Retronauts Micro. And it's a different take on the format than usual.
I mean, yeah, like most of my Micros, it's me monologuing for a long time. So: An acquired taste. This time, though, I didn't simply pluck a random topic out of the ether. Instead, I decided to try producing the official Retronauts review of the freshly launched Blaster Master Zero for Switch and 3DS not as a written piece but rather as an audio podcast. And it's not simply a review, but also a retrospective on the original NES game, as well as a brief overview of the sequels and remakes and spinoffs that came in its wake.
I hope you enjoy the format — as with all the experimental shows I've been testing over the past couple of months, your response will determine whether or not I ever do anything like this again. Retronauts Radio and East have gone over well, so I hope Retronauts reviews will as well. In any case, Bob will have a new episode up for you on Monday, so respite from my voice is nigh. Rejoice, ye weary.
Episode description: It's a different application for the Retronauts Micro format this week as Jeremy uses the show to present a review of the newly released Blaster Master Zero alongside a series retrospective.
