Okay, here she is! Surprise! When I asked myself what the subject matter of my next picture should be after such a long break, I decided to just follow my whims and do whatever I was feeling in the moment. And well, I couldn't help but think that Ren would look rather hot as a woman. Heh. I always have a lot of fun with the genderbends. I've been slowly pecking away at this one for a while, but I think she turned out nice. Special thanks to Ecchi-Star for help with the background and special effects.
(If thinking about Ren as a woman makes you uncomfortable, just tell yourself this is Ren's hitherto unseen and unspoken of sister.)

Lots of little things have happened since the last blog post. A lightning strike blew out all of the home networking components, and several computers, including my work PC. Fortunately the most expense stuff was spared and it just amounted to a costly and unwanted opportunity to upgrade old equipment. Also, thank god, the game systems were unscathed. I can't play them at the moment, but it's still a big relief. I'm coming for you Sephiroth... someday.
The impact of the latest hurricane (Helene) was minor around here, just some strong winds and rain and a few downed tree limbs. As the pre-storm hunkering-down commenced, the refrigerator decided to die. Fortunately, a repair guy was able to fix it after the storm passed, but much food was lost in the process. I tried to preserve some of the contents of the fridge and may have given myself food poisoning in the process. I'm okay, but I have many regrets about that.
My most recent doctor appointment went well, however, the final option presented with me is to move forward with surgery. The doctor recommends both a carpal tunnel release and cubital tunnel release on my left arm (my drawing hand), both of which will be done at the same time.
I'm in the process of going through the motions of getting that set up. Just got bloodwork done today. I'm still unsure as to whether I want to proceed, as it is not a guaranteed fix, and I'm worried about recovery time on the surgery (A couple of weeks? Months? It really seems to depend on the individual.)
At least at present I'm able to draw again.... but I am tired of feeling so limited in what I can do with my arms without pain or weakness. (I haven't been able to play any video games in almost 5 months, you guys.)
The current plan is to continue to draw and see how much I'm able to accomplish without my hands failing on me, and let that be the deciding factor. On that note, I'm going to pull up the to-do list and try to start getting caught up some of those image projects I had planned.
As always, thanks for your support.
