Last week, Stef and I went on a ghost tour. I don't think I saw any ghosts, but who knows if one of the other guests wasn't some nosy spectre. (You're a nosy spectre! :p)

2023-10-24 20:02:10 +0000 UTCI worked in a theatre that was 100 years old. I was in there one day, downstairs, under the stage, where the Stage Lifts are located. On my own, doing some routine maintenance. I had the keys for the place and was solely responsible for the place. Now, I'm working away, tidying up some of the huge drapes ,massive things, very heavy, stored in huge bags, on wooden racks under the stage. I should be the only person in there, stages can be very dangerous places, literally tons of metal equipment suspended over the stage, anything from 30 feet, to 100 foot in the air. I hear solid footsteps crossing the stage above me, heel to toe. The stage is 150 feet from wing to wing. Think nothing of it for a second or two, then realise "hang on, who is up there, why they not asked for permission to cross the stage?" Run from the basement, run up a flight of maybe 15 steps, fully prepared to give someone a bollocking for not clearing it with me first. Nobody. No doors closing after them, nobody about, nobody in the auditorium. That was 22 years ago. Can still hear the footsteps.
