Quinn (Oddly the Hardest Design)

So continuing with this trend of releasing the WIP development process that led us to our current character designs is Quinn. It would make sense for him to follow after his bestest buddy.

So to preface this, Quinn was a challenge to design. Early on I'd attached myself to this idea of color identity for each member of the cast. Jude = Yellow, Quinn = Blue, Aiden = Green, Elliot = Purple. With Quinn I'd always had this idea of a english hare with a light blue under tone. It was just a bit of a challenge to figure out how blue was too blue.

The early phases of the design was easy because again, like Jude I had a reasonable idea of how we wanted the bunny to look. Slightly nerdy but in a very adorkable way. The size of genitalia was again up for debate, but we ended up going with one of the two bigger sizes. (Bigger is better right?) From there it was just his fur and hair colors, which was where the challenges came from.

After we did settle on a design, and determined that beanies don't look good on this bunny, we did a quick survey with a select few pals in the furry community. With their help we realized we made him slightly too lithe (so we ever so subtly expanded his frame) and definitely too blue, while we tried to just whiten out his fur, it made the light blue appearance give hm a very aged look. So, we returned to the drawing board and from there after tweaking the colors of his wardrobe we found a design we were happy with.

Since the initial release, Quinn has trailed in the polls for the surveys we've put out, which is a concern I did have coming in but not one I didn't expect. I mean when you've got two hunks like Jude and Elliot, and a potential sugar daddy with Aiden, how does our bunny boy stand a chance? Hopefully as the story develops, this little guy will worm his way into the hearts of the public.
