Update - 2/19/2022
Added 2022-02-19 18:01:02 +0000 UTCWassup everyone? Checking in with an update.
SO, initial run of the new commission system was rocky, but ultimately worked how I intended it to. Major takeaways were:
- Need to not open comms on a Tuesday ever again. Probably will shoot for a Friday or Saturday in the future.
- The period in which people send in ideas should be adjusted to be later in the day, or just be "until the slots are all full". Probably do something like 5pm - 12am, and if slots aren't full by then, they stay open until they are.
That being said, I got enough ideas and I've been working on the comms at a decent pace! Already have 2 in the pipeline, and I'm getting close with the third. Nice.
Speaking of the pipeline, I'm making some minor adjustments (yes I know, "again?").
I'm just pushing my upload time back a couple hours to 6pm EST. I've had it happen 3 times that I'm doing things in the day when I'm supposed to upload to Discord, and end up a half hour to an hour behind the public scheduled posts. So yeah, posts are at 6pm now. Should also let people see it more when they're getting out of work and stuff.
I'd also like to remind everyone currently subbed here that the Discord server is the main place where I distribute rewards. If you don't have your Discord linked to your Patreon account, you're gonna miss out on benefits.
I have some ideas in the works for more things to do, like commission streams and possibly opening commissions for animations, but those are a ways off for now. Right now I'm ironing out schedules and the general commission process to make things a bit easier for everyone. Like, for example, making a semi-comprehensive list of the models/characters I have available to use so people can easily just search through it. It would mitigate the trouble of having to ask "do you have this model?" all the time.
But yeah, that's about it! Be sure to watch the Discord for more updates, and try to keep in touch with feedback! I've got a channel in there specifically for that, so please do not hesitate to make your voice heard!
