Today I'm finally uploading a video that took *months* of planning and prep—and I couldn't have done it without you. I hope to do at least one or two large-scale projects like this every year, because it's a nice contrast to the more 'grind'-type videos where I only get to spend a couple weeks researching and testing before writing a script and producing a video.
Today's video is titled "Is a pigeon STILL faster than the Internet?", and I actually tested the theory—end to end. The flight to and from Canada was graciously provided by 45Drives, but every other expense was paid for through your generous support.
I couldn't have made the video without the support of all of you here on Patreon (and my wonderful supporters on GitHub Sponsors!), so thank you SO much for showing your support for my work!
Projects like this are fun, but they also help clean out some cobwebs in my brain; I also learned of a new file transfer tool 'croc' through my work on the video, and wrote a blog post on wormhole and croc, and how to maximize data transfer speed over the Internet: My own Magic Wormhole Relay, for zippier transfers
Thank you for your support, and I hope you enjoy and maybe even learn something from today's video (it'll be up around 9 a.m. US Eastern)!
