Approaching the end of 2021
Added 2021-11-08 20:17:36 +0000 UTCIt's been a wild and crazy year, going from 100k subscribers on YouTube to now over 225k, meaning there are more than twice as many people who have an opportunity to watch my new videos right after I post them.
And all year long, I've invested almost all the money I get from Patreon into the videos—behind the scenes, I've completely changed every bit of gear I use to record and edit these videos, like moving from a giant, in-your-face podcast-style mic to an overhead shotgun mic and wireless lav to allow for more flexible shooting.
I also just splurged (at least that's what it feels like!) on a Ronin SC2 gimbal, which will be so helpful for videos where I can have my faithful assistant (Katie) help shoot the video—in those cases, she'll be able to use the nice Sony a6600 instead of my iPhone to get much nicer quality video.
It's all in the service of trying to make better-looking, better-sounding, and in general, better and more relevant videos, since I love doing it, and hope it helps!
And I couldn't do any of this without you. So thanks! And I can't wait to share these other new projects with you later this month... stay tuned :)
