This has been a Great campaign so far and has been so fun to listen to. I have the monster hunter board game and listening to this encounter has made me want to play it with more of a story behind it!

Those writing classes are definitely paying off! I also want to give credit to Milo for doing a great job with the game despite her/their (not entirely sure of current pronouns as I know she/they used they/them in the past but her/their twitter says she/her) relative newness to D&D.

The dynamic between the characters has changed dramatically, and the COMBAT CHOICES (dm and players) WERE AWESOME! I’m currently writing oneshots and stuff as a new dm and entire thing was so so inspiring. Can’t wait for the next episode!

2024-07-13 21:09:30 +0000 UTCAlso mechanically this encounter was awesome!!! Having things like difficult terrain, stunned and damage resistance come up made it feel so dynamic. And when it started trying to escape was an especially good moment, and when Alf showed up as the fight was starting to settle down was a great touch.
