2023-01-12 18:54:08 +0000 UTCYeah, not sure about 1 month later, but I think it'll hurt your "reach" if you don't post your work frequently enough in public. Keeping things Patreon only is an attractive idea, but I think you'll need to be pretty prolific and productive in order for that to be viable. E.g. Jay Naylor makes old art public after a year/18 months? But he can probably afford to do that because he is very well established (also, I think he's pretty aggro about chasing down pirates...) Then we have people like Nyl2 who seemingly make things public pretty fast, and they seem to be doing well. Fighting piracy is going to be a losing battle anyway. Better to spread your stuff far and wide to maybe attract the occasional person that IS willing to fork over some cash.
