I know grizz was saying he was having a hard time thinking of exactly what arthur is going to say in any given moment, and the hard work REALLY paid off. Charlie's acting in the scene was also absolutely incredible - some real banger lines from both characters.

(And Shilo, between the two, who’s barely begun to figure himself out let alone what he wants; who has everything to lose even after already losing everything he knows.) Horrifying setup! I’m glued to my seat! Thank you so much for this pain (genuinely) I’m ready to cry and also die in the coming episodes

SPOILERS BELOW this episode made me so much more invested in arthur's character. i never would have thought that his list of names was the names of people he killed. "you'll be the last one" WAS FIRE. literally lol. hearing his backstory about his family actually broke my heart. hes such a tragic character to the very core. so so glad he had magnus by his side this whole time, especially when he met up with vanya (is that her name?? i lowkey forgot oops). as for emizel, it was really cool seeing his story progress this way. ngl when it came out that emizel wanted to ask the unseen one why he was abandoned in LA to live with his dad while shilo got to leave, i had to pause the episode and just cry for a second. emizel has been through so much man. and when he said that his fondest memory was finding the hideout with the demons i cried some more. his fondest memory was finding a new home for himself because his "real" one was so horrible. and then he forgot it almost completely. i was so scared that he had forgotten soda too, but luckily not. also was so relieved when i remembered that soda's currently in rehab so he couldn't have been in that warehouse. i was so fucking terrified for shilo at the end there dude. and also??? shilo being allergic to the pheasant but loving it all the same?? to me thats so symbolic. the pheasant represents shilo's freedom. he finally has it, and things aren't exactly going the way he'd hoped. however he's still trying to make the most of it by keeping the pheasant with him and by being a social butterfly, as grizzly pointed out. he's trying to build a bond with his brother, learn about the world he was sheltered from his whole life, and so much more. i love shilo so much dude. overall, great fucking episode. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK FOR THIS ENTIRE SHOW. nathan hanover went fucking crazy dude, especially this episode with emizel's battle. FUCKING SICK. shoutout to him

It's so sad and I was quite literally finding myself with a huge smile on my face when he dropped the match. This podcast brings out a darker side of me, if I'm smiling at someone burning to death. Lol I want Edward to be the next person staked and burned. I don't want him to hurt any of these characters that I have gotten attached to again. And a scene with Emizel finally killing his sire too will be awesome. :)

Everyone always does a remarkable job, but Arthur stood out this episode, he was incredible, he's got such a weight to him in scenes that's really magnetic

Spoilers past the point There is so much cool shit that happened this episode and I can't stop fucking laughing over the old people just piling onto a bus to go to this whole gang hideout to drop off Emizel to fuck up another vampire. All the while, a fucking pheasant(?) is just losing its shit, flying around wildly, beating the shit out of old people and itself trying to escape. Also I would like to say, I've never encountered foreshadowing from real life into a pre-recorded podcast before but a giant fucking spider showed up while I was listening to this before mother-fucking gay spider man (I JUST READ BACK OVER THIS, HOLY SHIT LMAO) showed up. So like, I felt fear. Because the last time I killed a spider it had like. So many babies. I killed a lot. The majority of them. But recently a lot of the same kind of spider has been showing up in my home so I fear they will have their revenge on me soon. I vacuumed him up. What the fuck am I saying?????? The point is I saw a big spider and it was like irl foreshadowing. Jesus christ. Anyway, phenominal episode, loved it. I'm thinking really hard about spiders now. I'm gonna have a hard time sleeping tonight I think.

One sire is a hardened assassin, and is killed in a cool, metal way by Arthur. Then Emizel is confronted by his loser, cringefail sire who almost (or actually does) kill both brothers.

It has been a very long time since a scene got me the way the confrontation with Arthur and Vanya got me. It was both so emotionally charged and well-planned to the point of keeping my jaw dropped the whole time, and I mean that genuinely.
