About the exclusive pieces

Some of you have been asking about the exclusive pieces I've been doing for the +$20 patrons. As you know, because of the latest shenanigans in my life I have been struggling to keep up with the releases and I'v ebeen forced to abandon those pieces to produce content for the actual game.
Now I'm hard at work with v0.16 and this one will probably be the update with most new art pieces in it. And taking into account all the variables (tattoos, piercings, Ash's clothing, and now, bigger boobs :P) mean that for each image I have to produce three to four variations and between 3 and 10 layered images, sometimes even more. So making art gets more time-consuming as the game evolves. The last update, for example, had less images than I would've liked for the Arthur and Bernarnd scenes, even though they didn't need to be very deep (and I added a third picture for the Bernard scene with the final release.)
I came up with the idea of the exclusive pieces as something fun to further reward the pople who were already supporting me with +$20, but I'm not sure if it's an efficent use of my resources, hence this poll: would you prefer I use the time to make more art for the actual game or do you feel it's worth it to keep producing the exclusive pieces for you guys?

I only found out about this game in the last month and decided to support you at the beginning of this month to encourage you and because I think you've created a really awesome and intricate game. On the other hand, I also wish I'd know you aren't actually doing the exclusive art pieces any more, as that probably would've affected the amount I contributed. I don't mind you focusing on the game, but you should remove the option of "Suggest and vote for a special artwork each month" from the $20 patronage since it's no longer a reward you're offering at that level.

So in my opinion the rewards are mostly about being a part of the development and less about getting the releases, since getting a game piece by piece doesn't have to be something positive. Of course, that's just my opinion. So I think that some more polls exclusive for 20+ patrons is the way to go. To give some more examples except what you mentioned, we could have polls or discussion posts about clothing. We could also be part of the discussion regarding how one sex scene every update should play out, where we just given the name of the character (and maybe a small detail or two) and we can write suggestions for how that particular scenario should play out. A different character every month so no patron is left out, and so on.

2018-05-08 22:48:59 +0000 UTCI don’t really care about the exclusive pieces, but I do think that without some kind of additional reward the gap between the $20 tier and the $10 one (the 2-3 days from alpha to beta) it’s just not worth it moneywise… Maybe you should consider merging both tiers (one access to all the testing releases, both alpha and beta, for $15 perhaps?), or maybe there could be another reward that doesn’t imply work not directly related to game itself: maybe a monthly poll about future content (e.g.: should the game have sooner a scene with Jolene or with Jack’s brother? Or something like that). Just thinking out loud, for sure there could be better reward ideas.

2018-05-08 22:21:10 +0000 UTCThe special artwork has always felt like something that's just "nice", and never essential. Something extra to the fans, so to speak. I am a patron because you've proven to be a good developer and because this is a great game, so I wouldn't mind at all if you could focus completely on the game. If you felt like it you could always scale the special artwork down to a few occasions/milestones that you feel like celebrating, but in the end I guess the poll will speak for itself.
