For me, if I'm not particularly feeling the song, Joakims live performance saves it... He (and the other guys) do such great shows, sometimes it feels like they can do what ever the hell they want and I'll still watch, as long as I can SEE them do it. They make my days better :)

First of I'm from Finland so the time difference is big, I think it's 7 hours New York to Finland. I was a kid at the time, but I remember hearing the news in the car radio. Once we got home It was on tv on some kind of special emergency news reel. It didn't feel real. As I got older, and the documentaries started to come out, that's when I started to understand what had happened. It's odd, how even for me here in europe, 9/11 feels quite an emotional subject.

I didn't like that at all. I found it rather crude.

I was in Houston, visiting my dad on 9/11. His daughter in law at the time called and told us to turn on the news. This was before the second plane came in. When we saw the second one hit, and the reports of the others, I said “Somebody has been reading Tom Clancy and this has Bin Laden written all over it” Tom Clancy had a book where a commercial airliner was used to wipe out a joint session of Congress. I had flown out of Denver the day before and had almost gotten a ticket for the 11th. On the tenth, in Denver, I had to remove my cowboy hat, belt, and boots because of the metal belt buckle, and the metal supports in my boots. I’d always heard you couldn’t carry a pocket knife on the plane, so it was in my checked luggage. I find it a shade suspicious that the highjackers took the planes over with box cutters.

I have found that a lot of Sabaton’s early songs are hit or miss for me. Some grow on me from when I first heard them. While not rhyming most of the time, I find that the lyrics work with the music as far as the flow and doesn’t necessarily take me out of the song. That being said, it isn’t high on my list of favorites.
