2025-09-03 17:33:08 +0000 UTCfinally a series that took advantage of the 24 EP, and they left things open enough that if people want to know more they can read novel, i was so ready for it to be left on a cliffhanger because the last few 24 episode series where left on cliffhangers but RL understood the assignment.... by "open" i mean people who are wanting to know more about yueyue, the wang brothers, the side couple ect its all explained in the novel in further details. i feel like an adaptation does a great job when it can also encourage the viewer to read the source material, KBLs such as "sematic error" and "ball boy tactics" for example does this too..... (P.S. the guy confessed because Wu Sou Wei) 🤣🥀

I was about to throw everything out the window when Chengyu and Xiao Shuai got interrupted 😭 I'm glad they continued. One thing I gotta say is that it's crazy to me that Chi Cheng and Suo Wei didn't have a kiss scene in this episode after this man came back from jail. Yeah even tho they gave us crumbs, I really loved the side couple's final scene.

I'm generally satisfied with how they wrapped it up, even though the final episode was significantly shortened. Two scenes (Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei kissing in the water and visiting the grave of Suo Wei's parents) have already been released. I hope for more. The time Cheng spent in prison (at least several weeks, if not months) was important for a good closure. Before being with Suo Wei, Cheng did illegal and inhumane things, and these couldn't go unpunished. After the release, his almost angelic appearance, dressed all in white, underscores his transformation into a "good boy." The BTS scenes sometimes leave me speechless. From the first table reading to the kissing- and NC-scenes, you can witness firsthand how the relationships of the four main characters thrived. Do you remember before the first episode you said that 24 episodes were a "great commitment" for you? And now it's already over. 😢 Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. ❤️
