Weak Hero has got to be one of my favorite kdramas & shows ever. I love the premise of a small and weak looking guy being underestimated and showing his enemies what he's made of and proving them wrong. I love Sieun so much. He's such a sad and mysterious character. while watching s1 I felt even though he was the main character, I didn't know much about him. I like how you mentioned that each season can be watched individually bc that's how the webtoon is. The show starts off with the events of Season 2 - which is the main plot - and Season 1 are flashbacks. I'm slowly reading the webtoon bc I need more of this show and what better way to do that than to read the source material πŸ™‚. - This show is full of morally gray characters which I love. Noone is strictly good or bad and you have a hard time siding with them at times. In Season 2 each new character were like fushions of characters from Season 1 and better relationships than season 1. Like you said the friendship feels stronger and I love friendship stories as well. with family it's different because even though you're related to someone by blood or have familial bonds, you still have to choose to be their friend or not; and with a romantic relationship, it's best to have a friendship build in, in my opinion but that's not always the case. - Gotak and Juntae were one of my fav friendships and part of the show, or atleast s2. They are like the mirror / better version of Suho and Beomseok's friendship we could have had if Beomseok didn't do what he did. I was shocked to see Beomseok appear in s2 even though it was Sieun's imagination / dream. ( I wish we also saw or got a mention about Yeongi as well.) - Baku and Baekjin's relationship / story was heartbreaking to me even though we don't know much about Baekjin. I believe they met and then Baku taught him how to fight after he kept seeing him get bullied, then they became best friends until Baekjin started being a bully himself and later joined the union. Baekjin reminds me of a fushion of Sieun and Beomseok. They were all being picked on and had a friend to help them, then they went dark. - Juntae also reminds me of a fushion of Sieun and Beomseok, but the developed and more hopeful side. I wanna know what was going through Sieun's head when he was watching Baekjin lie on the ground after he "won" the fight. He probably saw himself or Beomseok. You're totally right about Sieun cheating and the fight not being fair. I disregarded that because as you said Sieun is the main character and we wanna be on his side. That didn't occur to me until after I watched your reaction. - I was so sad for Baku when Baekjin died. I thought the funeral was for Baku's dad for a second. I thought Baekjin got so upset that he lost and hurt Baku's dad as revenge. I don't think Baekjin is dead but if he is, I hope Baku avenges his death and gets some closure in Season 3. Throughout the show I kept waiting for someone to die because in a show like this someone just has to and it eventually happened. That little moment of Suho and Sieun at the end was so suspenseful. I should have known that part would end with that damn distance between them. πŸ’” The way Sieun cares for Suho is heart warming. Sieun is close to someone who he feels finally cares for him. I'm really hoping there's a season 3. I really wanna see Suho hanging with all of them. 😊

Yes, Baek-Jin was killed by the gang leader. If you remember in one of the last episodes the mob boss said β€œif I have to come back again I’ll kill you” and that’s what happened. Also you see the flowers at the funeral are Cheolgang, which is the name of the gang. Kind of a final β€œfuck you” to send flowers to the funeral of the person you had murdered.
