Update - Still Sick, Tight Space is... long... And Possible Changes to Patreon

Hey all, as promised I'm back with an update after I finally wrapped up Tight Space. That said, I definitely went way too long with it. That being the case, I can't really post it all in one month even for $7.50 tier members. I'm gonna space them out by a week (give or take a day or two) so it kind of feels like a tv show. Expect the next chapter for it tomorrow.

The bright side to this is that I'll have plenty of time to work on other stories. With any luck, there won't be any shortage of posts for the next month or two - that should tell you just how long Tight Space ended up running. After I get a little work done on other stories, mostly a means for me to get back into the mindset for them, then I'm gonna get back to tackling some commissions I've been neglecting.

For those wondering, Tight Space ended up clocking in at about 75K words. Every time I thought I was gonna get done with it, my brain just did that annoying thing; what if you did this though? And I'm an impulsive writer so... yeah.

Regarding my sickness, it hasn't really gotten better or worse. Truth be told, I don't think it's really hampered my ability to write much, it's mostly just getting back into the swing of things after getting back from Wales and the fact that I finally ran out of steam with the story. 

Now for the changes I mentioned in the title if you read it; I might trim down the patreon a bit at some point. My main reasoning in that regard is I ended up making so many tiers that it's a pain to keep track of it all. Not to mention nigh-impossible for me to make them worthwhile. What I might do is scale back on them and change how I charge. So instead of charging per chapter posted, it'll be based on word/page count. E.g. charging per 3000 words, so posting 15000 words = 5 charges. But I'll be scaling back on tiers, to the point where I think the highest tier would be $5, maybe $10 as like a; 'if you really, really, really like like me, then this is the tier for you'. 

I'll need to think about it a lot more and run numbers personally to make sure it's sustainable for me before I make any concrete plans, but I think it'd be nicer for everyone over all. You can pledge a minimal amount and still get a lot more for it, for example; the new $2 would get stories when the old $5 would, and that would be the new lowest tier (since the current $1 doesn't really offer anything of substance). 

It'd almost definitely streamline some things, but as I said, I need to think about it more. Let me know if you have any suggestions for it.
