Flipy's Patron Doodle Requests - OCT 2024 test run

...surprise! Its been like... 2 years since these we're a thing last so I'll give a brief explanation of what the heck is goin on here.

Back closer to when this patreon launched, I had a much more vibrant social battery and wanted to find a way of giving something more to patrons beyond just "heres my discord, heres my art early". The best idea that came about was a form I could open up each month for anyone to toss ideas they had into.

Some new furry bait character all over social media you think I'd draw well? There some niche topic or content you think I could spice up? You just want to see your OC making out with my fennec? Just toss a little bit of direction and a ref into the form! I'd then be able to keep my eyes on it and if anything really caught my eye or got me ~excited~ I would draw it!

So yeah, we're doing that again- but with some significant differences

Unlike previous, all doodles are going to be done pencil on paper in a sketchpad! 

While the old stuff was great, that was their problem. I Flipy'd it and eventually the doodles we're the same amount of work as commissions- it wasnt sustainable mentally or financially

So how do we avoid that? Pencil and paper. I'm much less proficient with the medium and since graduating I havent had classes to doodle my way through! This has had a knock-on effect of crippling my ability to sketch and mediate my perfectionism. This new form gives me ways to fix this while proactively giving back to patrons.

When the month ends I will grab the best pictures I can with my kind-of-crap phone camera of whatever doodles I did and have a large post up on patreon. If you want more frequent updates or to talk about ideas without submitting through the form- use the patreon discord! There will be a channel for discussion and a forumn channel to hold all the drawings themselves

Anyhoo, thats enough words. This is all impromptu and testing the waters, if the idea is good but too overwhelming I'll do forms bi-monthly or shelve the idea again until times are better.

I have some smaller stuff I can and should get to uploading this week- I'm still kind of not winning when it comes to my personal issues the past few months. But hey I've gotten a much steadier and consistent stimulant, and I'm gonna be trying some additional meds to help with anxiety. As it turns out, the mild but uncomfortably restless anxiety attacks are not supposed to be a daily thing. Much less a multiple-times-a-day thing.
