Does something different with the character that makes it far better than you'd expect a 20 years later sequel to a classic to be. The 1998 film Psycho is the shot for shot remake that Gus Van Sant did.

Sounds like a boring reaction…no idea about psycho 3…but with Robocop you get a hall of fame classic, a weird/but good capsule of early 90s what the future will be, and you end with a completely silly over the top end of the trilogy that would be worth it just for the merchandising spotlight that Griffin will do for it.

Psycho didn't get a sequel for 23 years - the original legacyquel! - and against all odds, it's interesting and adds to the original. And the Robocop remake is a boring nothing, while the Psycho remake is a truly insane swing.
