I can understand ST creatives fancying a pivot after First Contact but then they should lean hard into a full Voyage Home style comedy rather than some in-between mess

Jon Ryves

“What if they gave Data a fart chip” is essentially The Master of Disguise

Matt Greenberg

Griffin knowing the secret Toys R Us arcade is crazy. Used to spend hours at that store with my daughter.

Amy Patrick

Omg I loved Griffin trying to pin down Riker’s relationship in terms of Cheers-universe characters 😅 Should’ve swung for a Wings reference!

Andrew Jansson

Ha! Fair.

Crash Calhoun

Whoa twisted

BENJAMIN SHULTZ

its because there are TWO picards who are EXACT MIRROR IMAGES of each other -- if one of them is shot in total darkness Nemesis puts the backwards R in foreshadowing.

Max Birdemic

Trap = Great. I like Into Darkness more than them, but its a movie with rocks in its head.

Max Birdemic

I have never been successful at staying awake for the duration of this movie

Bill Sweet

Shout out to the Go! team

Scott Marshall

Just watched/ listened to this. So funny!

Crash Calhoun

Amputations and all?

“Borgin it” #borginit

Rad Rodge

Mitch Hedberg was the Rodney Dangerfield of my generation. Wish he'd done movies.

Bairbre

Jonathan Frakes & Marina Sirtis' commentary track to this movie is quite entertaining- they're very unprecious/unpretentious about it. Some highlights can be heard at https://vimeo.com/297517887.

MoCoSwede

Trap = good but Into Darkness = bad? I will never truly understand these guys.

Crash Calhoun

In film school I had a teacher who was a producer and had worked with F Murray Abraham and she said everyone referred to him as FUCKING Murray Abraham because he was a pain in the ass.

Also, I have the best Dave & Busters humble brag: waaaaay back in 2008 in NYC, I was a super fan of Friend of the Show Michelle Collins, who I knew as a BLOGGER on BestWeekEver.TV, the website companion to the tv show. My then fiancé was a grad student at NYU and I was visiting him one weekend and we were out with his roommate at McSorely’s when who should we spot but THE Michelle Collins, who to me could not have been a bigger celebrity even though she hadn’t even been on tv yet! I think she was so delighted to be recognized by a fan for the first time, she ended up leaving the group she was with and hanging out with us all night!!! Somehow we got to talking about loving Dave and Busters, which had this awesome Trivia game at the time we were obsessed with, so we decided to go to the D&B in Times Square - we enjoyed hours of fun and trivia dominance. I recall fondly that Michelle got a Beyoncé key chain with her tickets. Best night of my life? Yes!!!!

I am delighted to report that I saw Vince Vaughn enjoying a Dave and Busters burger for brunch at 11:00am on Sunday, March 28, 2010 in Chicago! His 40th birthday and my 28th birthday! I’ve been sitting on this Burger Report this whole time, too embarrassed to call in, but since David said he went to D&B on a whim: it was my 28th (golden!) birthday in 2010 in Chicago. How did I want to spend it? Going to Dave Busters (in the Lincoln Park neighborhood) on a Sunday morning at 11am, of course! When we walk in, who should we see but VINCE VAUGHN already sitting at the bar tucking into a brunch burger!!! As we ride the escalators down to the games area, I shout the only thing I can think of to say in that moment: “Hi Vince Vaughn, it’s my birthday!” And he smiles and says back “Happy birthday!!!” I was delighted! I texted my best friend and fellow cinephile who calls me back excitedly a few minutes later to tell me “I just Googled Vince Vaughn and you won’t believe it! Today is his birthday too!!!! He was born in 1970 so it’s his 40th birthday!!!!”

Mirror univ- no, wait… the… the R is for Romulan? No, that doesn’t… hmm

Ben Dudden

Nemesis has a great Goldsmith score, buuuuut then you're stuck watching Nemesis, the nadir of the franchise, movie-wise, until Kurtzman shat out Section 31.

The worst thing Griffin Newman has ever done was make a digimon joke and make me think there was going to be a digimon riff about to happen only to continue talking about this boring movie

Spencer Pommier

The episode really picks up when Rodney Dangerfield enters the conversation. Maybe they could’ve gotten Rodney to do punch-up on the script!

John Halski

I hope someone on the Nemesis commentary can explain why the R in the opening title flips around like the Toys R Us logo.

BENJAMIN SHULTZ

OMG I have the best Burger Report!!! Can someone tell me the number??

Britt B

Have we gotten any comic book movies based on Byrne storylines? Would love to see it.

Zachary Neeley

“I keep making it to the first prompt and then…”

Zachary Neeley

whatever the actual quality of the movie, i will say that all of the TNG movies (except maybe nemesis? haven't seen it since it came out) have wonderful scores that i still listen to on the reg

gabbi

It clearly needed a Emilia Perez "Sex Change Operation" musical number

By Tove!

Shocked they didn’t mention knowing Zerbe from Treasure Island: The Adventure Begins, the hour long TV advertisement for Las Vegas and blowing up casinos.

Graham Hollister

I haven’t played the ‘Big Lebowski’ game but I have played the ‘Requiem for a Dream’ game….would not recommend.

JC

So the Doom origin wherein he receives a slight scar from an accident and is so vain he puts on his newly forged mask before it has time to cool was a retcon by John Byrne that synthesised Kirby and Lee’s ideas for what Doom’s scarring was. Kirby’s idea was the slight scar and Lee’s idea was total facial disfigurement.

LS

I guess the obvious way to go would have been a direct sequel to 'First contact' however that might have looked. I always thought 'Insurrection' was a bit like one of those 2 partners TNG did from time to time, except not as good.

This comment is so annoying I'm deleting mine in a few minutes

Trevor Talley

its a fairly forgettable movie, not awful but a solid "meh"/10. the reaction doesn't surprise me though, dude is often too busy talking about himself to pay attention to things like plot. edit: that was way more awful than it was anything else. jesus christ
