Other topics include: Why even do this?, Russian & Turkish Baths, wheel shows, The Killers, the original UCB, a potential Ed, Ed(TV) n Eddy Patreon series and lots of Watson chat.

I know some UCB lifers so I’m trying to verify this story about Drew Franklin

William Evans

I just wanted to say that the hardest I’ve ever seen my dad laugh was Fred Willard in Best in Show. I’d never seen my dad cry from laughing but Fred did him in. Same thing when A Mighty Wind came out: crying laughing when Willard showed up.

Sam Schrader

I feel like this episode could have been at least 30 minutes longer if Griff would have fell into the Bath House Bit. It's not often we have David wanting to follow a goose

Jordan Gibson

Still feel that way after E.T.?

fluff_diva

Very enjoyable episode - every digression was a gem

Janet feeney

Griffin getting it incorrect that Landau was like the Benji on Mission Impossible, when in fact it's Barney, played by Greg Morris. But since he's barely watched the series I forgive him. Landau was actually closer to the Ethan Hunt role if you can believe it.

Boogie

Damn I picked a good time to move to Pittsburgh I guess

Max Carwile

I saw The Killers live a couple of months ago and can verify that Brandon Flowers is still shockingly charismatic live. Unbelievable show

Going to add another take that The Penguin is fantastic. I think they're so committed to the (not entirely wrong) take that "extended universe" stuff is too prevalent that they can't allow themselves to view such media objectively.

Chase Janak

Man this is instantly sending me to watch Oakland Nights by the Lonely Island

Rad Rodge

Well well well

I have come to think that for a lot of things, and maybe especially for comics things but maybe just as much as to anything else, David responds so much to the premise of a story that the specific craft of its execution just almost never can ruin OR save a premise for him. I weirdly think often about how heated he got when he was rejecting Griffin’s speculation that maybe someone could write a different Suicide Squad where Rick Flag was the focal character, because he was so sure that Rick Flag was by definition a specific boring character that he just could not countenance the possibility that a better Rick Flag *could* be written hahah

Absolutely ate up the extended New York New York riff in the opening — ‘more David singing = better episode’ theory continues to bear out

Please post commentaries more often. I know it means more work but - BABY WANTS HIS COMMENTARIES!

Mike Cook

Watson- what if Watson was House but really hot and not a dick. The Pitt is good though!

Danielle

tbf the fact he compared it to Andor I think he probably thought the show was good but was tired at the concept of 8-hour origin stories in general

Jon Ryves

David singing The Killers sounds like Clint Eastwood.

Colin

I’ll pay $25–$35, sh*t, maybe even $40 a month for early commentary releases, just FYI 😂. I understand why you guys do it at the end of the month, but I would love a higher tier so I don’t have to wait once a month for a commentary. Please seriously think about it. Love you guys. ❤️

Good

Grumpy Sims on fine form! “You were gummin’ the hand” deserved comedy points 😂

Manish Agarwal

No offense but some offense is the best line

Jeremy Dankowitz

lol listen to the latest ep of the big picture if you want resolution on whether or not griffin saw horizon 2

Fresh Dill

I love when they're super loose but man alive Dan is a crank when it comes to TV. The Penguin was a good show.

Chauncey Telese

YES to The Desired Effect promo!

Liam Gallagher

Re: Fabelmans, not only is Sandy Dennis’s mother character an artist who feels isolated and thwarted in her role as homemaker, but the scary son she grows increasingly concerned with is named “Stevie.”

SPEAKING OF BEING SENT PRESENTS (at the very end) - please set up a PO box so we can send you physical fan mail.

Zwoozy

Satan is in this house!!!

Scott Carberry

I would definitely watch a sitcom about a bathhouse co-owned by feuding brothers with different ideas about how authentic an experience they want to provide. Suggested title: The Bath Brothers.
