RoboDoc “like Shoah for Robocop” made me laugh so hard

Scott Marshall

Its been a bit since ive seen it but i thought it was pretty explicit about him literally not existing before the movie starts. Either way its time for a rewatch, this movie fuckin rips

Alex Brierley

HPL was so racist that GERMANS wern't white enough for him.

John Blood

I don't agree with the "he was created by them". I saw it more as a wickerman type of situation. He was chosen to be the empty man because of his situation.

Paulie

Raising Arizona is the ultimate late title drop hands down

Jack o Diamonds

This movie has made me the biggest James badge Dale fan.

Jack o Diamonds

I was trying to think of the name of a horror movie I really liked, and had recommended to my brother, but didn’t feel like scrolling through many many texts to find it. It’s this one, thanks!

The fugitive has the best late title drop of all time. Titles don’t start until the prison bus is on the road and you already feel like you’ve seen a whole movie by then as Harrison ford - the biggest actor on the planet - just went from happily married surgeon to widowed convict

Ben Zaretsky

The Autopsy is worth a look for Prior fans. F Murray Abraham is fantastic. Won’t fully satisfy the craving for more Prior though, the final product is pretty good at best. (Which actually makes it one of the best Cabinet episodes. I want to say here too that I hope there’s more of that show solely because GDT is so much fun as a horror anthology presenter. His voice and his gait and his big glasses telling you all about a spooky story you’re about to see…A+ stuff)

andrew rogers

I had never heard the term "tulpa" before this podcast ep. You'd think decades of reading Grant Morrison, Alan Moore and the like I would have come accross this before.... Anyway, thank you.

Graig Kent

Fuckin’ a. I was wondering if it was also some native language? Maybe it’s both and the sounds are similar, for that reason?

Tyler Duggan

Most of the mouth sounds in the movie are mouthing “took a turn” which is what the nurse says about climber guy Tulpa

simulyosh

Check out the Spidey and His Amazing Friends shorts for the origin of Ghost-Spider and Spin monikers.

Patrick Donges

Standoff at Sparrow Creek rules. Highly recommend it

Terry Toner

Evan Jonigkeit is so so hot, I concur with any and all adjectives and superlatives describing him as such.

Mary Everett

I love that you’re hitting the Reddit misconceptions so hard this ep. I literally just saw that post last night.

Danielle

DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is still the best X-Men movie. Honestly the best of the entire FoX-Men canon.

Ian Smart

My barber loved this movie and recommended it to me. He's younger than me, has a cooler hairdo, and watches movies/tv as background noise all day so I trust his judgement!

Daniel S

Cullen Bunn is now canonically… “Keith Bullen”?

Matt Rombach

Standoff At Sparrow Creek rules. JBD has an incredible interrogation scene with Robert Aramayo, the creepy beatnik in The Empty Man

DB

griffins joke about privileged people scaling the empire state building for fun has aged FANTASTICALLY

Henry Jai

Oh, I thought it was Affleck I was looking out for. I absolutely was distracted by the gore with NPH.

Matthew Comegys

Gone Girl just showed up in my feed. *I didn’t see it, and I was looking for it.* Movie was great- was my first viewing.

Matthew Comegys

The Autopsy ruuuuuules so much.

Anna Louise Wiegenstein

Standoff at Sparrow Creek is a FIRE THRILLER and Producer Ben MUST check out the Demon Bear arch of New Mutants (from which the lackluster (very charmingly cast) movie takes (some) inspiration)

Cal O'Boyle

No lies, I drink approximately 4.5 cans of Polar seltzer a day, give or take

Philip Ehlke

Is David being prepared to be the next Empty Man? He dreamed about him.

Joshua Ochoa

James Badge Dale does not live through the Departed. He commits a sudden murder and is then murdered suddenly.

Mike Ostrov

Do David Lynch!

MoCoSwede

Bruh, are you nutterbutters? They just did all the Ocean’s! And they’ve done all the Alien films!

Tyler Duggan

Banger episode guys

Danny K

Finally a good movie talked about on this feed

The Real Kal-El

I literally just watched this earlier in the week. I had no idea you were covering it!!

Tyler Duggan

David, please. It was a forced water landing.

LS

one of the best horror movies of the decade. jazzed as hell for the weird places the tangents will go

Jordan B. Anderson

Yes!!! I just showed my roommate this movie for our Halloween watch, and I never expected the two friends to cover it. What a treat.

Joshua Bauer

I think this movie rules and I'm so glad you're doing an episode on it.

Daniel A. Barron

😮

Colin

Dudes rock

Kyle Gibson

lmao I didn't think you were serious

Begemott

Holy shit. They did it.
