Thank you for the Harry Hill shoutout. His old shows and his ep of Off Menu is classic.

2024-04-23 14:23:41 +0000 UTCDropping on here to say my fave part of the Keaton mini series is the frequent tie-ins to Babylon, the best to do it (by ‘it’ I mean maximalism, subtly sucks)

2023-05-12 03:51:56 +0000 UTCSo I guess fiml was the first time in history that humans could not see something that passed through their eyeline?

2023-05-12 03:14:41 +0000 UTCI encourage you watch a couple shkrts on YouTube. I'm truly shocked by how delightful and weird they are. But I guess if you've tried that and weren't into it, then yeah this series will be rough. And that show I felt last week up until today when I finally gave one of his films a chance and I'm so glad I did

2023-05-12 03:02:09 +0000 UTCI just watched The Cook on YouTube. It's so much werder and more beautiful than I expected. I don't even know how to describe what kind of performance this is.its so bizarre. I love it

2023-05-12 03:00:03 +0000 UTCThe man was a next-level director, actor, stuntman and choreographer…these movies make up for lack of sound in jokes/stunts/set pieces alone.

2023-05-12 02:19:09 +0000 UTCThe literal second before Griff said Hader would be a good fit for a Keaton biopic I thought, "he's gonna say Bill Hader isn't he?"

2023-05-12 01:55:22 +0000 UTCLoved these shorts so much! What a great series! I’ve long wondered why this style of visual slapstick still works so well when most comedy doesn’t hold up at all over even short periods of time. Also, y’all missed discussing one of my favorite little gags in this collection…in Cops, when Buster hides in a trunk only for a cop to lock him inside, only for Buster to roll out the bottom…only for both Buster and the cop to come together for a second to look at the trunk in bemusement over it not having a bottom. THAT’S comedy, folks!
