After listening to most of the episode, supported by your comment, I am watching it on Dailymotion in the background. Music good, visuals bad. Might be better on an old crt screen

2025-06-09 13:44:29 +0000 UTCMaybe Naqoyqatsi doesn’t age well and it’s really one of those “you had to be there when it first came out and be in art school and be eating lots of acid” kind of movies

2024-08-06 12:33:57 +0000 UTCI just realized I referenced the joke wrong and it doesn’t work. I’m sorry.

2024-02-01 18:52:30 +0000 UTCNaqoyqatsi makes Powaqqatsi look like Koyaanisqatsi

2024-01-06 20:17:29 +0000 UTCI paid $3.99 to rent Naqoyqatsi. Don’t be like me.

2023-11-12 18:28:08 +0000 UTCGonna chime in kinda late here to say that this is my favorite ep of the whole catalog, hands down. Listened twice thus far. A delightful dang ass rollercoaster through ya'lls annoyance.

2023-02-06 17:06:17 +0000 UTCI hate to admit it but this commentary track has now given Naqoyqatsi a reason to exist.

2023-02-04 23:48:04 +0000 UTCGriffin trying to guess Bad Company was perhaps the most painful five minutes to listen to in patron history

2023-02-04 18:48:28 +0000 UTCI dont even want them to do Sonnenfeld. Just Van Helsing would be cool
Joshua Austin
2023-02-04 01:38:19 +0000 UTCAs someone who's wanted them to do sonnenfeld since the March madness, I am gonna be perfectly fine with them just covering what they want lol. It's their show!

2023-02-03 19:03:03 +0000 UTCIf Godfrey came out and said “I was trying to make a movie for people who have bad taste”, would it be good?

2023-02-03 16:14:57 +0000 UTCyour second sentence seems to admit that Godfrey failed at what he was going for in your first sentence.

2023-02-03 03:23:17 +0000 UTC“Did he work on it for a while?” 💀

2023-02-02 22:59:51 +0000 UTCI kind of enjoyed Bad Company, and I watched it recently

2023-02-02 15:04:43 +0000 UTCOkay I wasn’t sure if these three movies were necessarily good Blank Check fodder because of the non-traditional narrative. Honestly I think that may be what made these the perfect commentary tracks.

2023-02-02 06:02:18 +0000 UTCEvery scene described in this episode sounds like the most hackey political cartoon imaginable. "There's a rocket...it says 'news'...there's Hilter..."

2023-02-02 04:55:08 +0000 UTCThat was Billy Graham not Jerry Fallwell

2023-02-02 04:33:00 +0000 UTCA movie about war… on the eyeballs. 👀 Still had a great time tho

2023-02-02 04:21:34 +0000 UTCShould I watch the trilogy in backwards order for peak enjoyment?
Joshua Ochoa
2023-02-02 02:21:36 +0000 UTCMore like Nap-oyqatsi… am I right?

2023-02-02 02:19:52 +0000 UTCNot one mention of my fave film of 2002.. A Walk To Remember

2023-02-01 23:35:39 +0000 UTCCan I make a kindly request that whenever there's a recommendation to lock the gates Griffin texts all of us here on Patreon ??

2023-02-01 17:50:13 +0000 UTCI think this is my favorite Patreon commentary the boys have done
Nathan Guinn
2023-02-01 17:48:49 +0000 UTCWhat they really should have watched were the films made by Ron Fricke, the cinematographer of Koyaanisqatsi, they reveal he was as instrumental to that film's artistic success as Reggio. Chronos, Baraka, Samsara, all better than the latter two Qatsi's.
Dennis Rowland
2023-02-01 17:40:49 +0000 UTCSo I know why the boys hated it, based on the whole day doing these, but I think this rules. I think this is only funny because it’s 2023. But no one can help that.

2023-02-01 17:07:25 +0000 UTCMakes sense now why I couldn't find this on tubi with the other ones.

2023-02-01 15:32:14 +0000 UTCBill Nighy is always great. Basically the only part of Love Actually that I haven’t tired of.

2023-02-01 07:20:58 +0000 UTCYea im hugely down with Naqoyqatsi and think a lot of its apparent fakeness and ugliness is purposeful. Not in a "bad on purpose" way but in showing that beauty isnt really being found in a culture so entrenched in a digital environment. There is beauty in the film if youre down with that really specific Y2K aesthetic tho. If your heart goes aflutter when the like dial up connection sound plays at the climax of Pulse lol
Joshua Austin
2023-02-01 06:24:54 +0000 UTCNaqoyqatsi is straight up brilliant. A digital demise. Its ugly veneer showcases the vapitidy of consumerism. It probably sucks though when you've watched two Qatsi movies in a single sitting beforehand.

2023-02-01 05:48:27 +0000 UTCoh boy i love when they watch a stinker
