This was the episode that sold the show to me. I love mutual pining. They both feel things for the other, but are scared of changing the relationship they already have. I feel that.

2023-10-15 14:38:01 +0000 UTCThe like buns are called chuukaman and you can buy nice ones in Chinese restaurants and fairly generic ones in the convenience store. The most common is nikuman (meat bun), but curry man is there too and sometimes you'll see pizza man wihich has meat and cheese inside. That stack of hotcakes with whipped cream and strawberries is a standard cafe dessert in Japan. I feel like it probably also made an appearance in Old Fashion Cupcake.

Kakeru gets sparkly looking at Yamato. Mikoto (Yamato's sister) gets sparkly looking at the pancakes! Bwahahah. I did not know angst could be cute until this show.
