I think Mum told Dew to protect Mint, so he just changed the future by saving Mint and letting the car hit him instead. The rest is still a mistery to me.

I keep in mind that there could be more than 2 universes if I only notice the colorgrading, there are more than 2 kind of color but it make thing even more incoherent.
