This is definitely my new comfort BL. I love it so much. <3
About second couple, I'm not against age gap cause my first boyfriend was 5 years older when I was 16 so it was quite a lot that time. He was really respectful, he accepted my decisions so it was really healthy. My preference stay like that because now I have 9 years older partner, so I'm not against. It's really about their development in the next episodes. Alex has to be really, really responsible. He kinda needs to take care of him and protect him. It's not what many guys can actually do, but it's not impossible. And RJ has to mature. It can work out if they will mentally short this age gap, and will also understand their special needs, other than in relationship with the same age partner. I think they have potential with their characters, to fit this kind of relationship and to make it really good one.
And RJ made a right decision by leaving parents. His dad would not respect him at all after what happened in the bar. He would suffer mentally at home and it could end really bad for him, even with depression. I support his decision and keep fingers crossed for him. He needs to learn a lot, but he can become mature fast by that.

At least they got most of the tropes out in one episode! Writers need to think more creatively. It doesn't help that the shows we are watching have been hitting the home healthcare heavy...and wound management.
About the actor playing young "RJ", he at least is 23 in real life. So, not Barcode age. Still, I would be fine with them coupling them up if he was a very mature 'almost 19' but he is a literal bratty kid and not mature at all. There are 12 episodes, so maybe there is room for him to mature. π€·π»ββοΈ
