What I got from the episode is that Pluem's father and sister were probably hit by another car while they were driving and Pluem's father died in the process. The other car has not yet been found. It occurred to me, what if Kevin's family caused the accident and they also died then? And the car has not yet been found because it sank in the swamp. What if Kevin's family is to blame for Pluem's father dying? Oh my lord, that would be a plot twist. 😫 Really enjoying this so far!
