I really liked your reaction to this episode. Yes, its hard to see that he is getting to live the life he wants. So many people want to be manga artists and never get published. And yes, he has a family that actually cares about him. I know this is TMI but I grew up with people like Issei's family. When I finally showed pics to my friends with my aunts in them, they noticed that I was the only one smiling, Yes, my aunts had that resting bitch face. Love was earned not given and would be taken away when you went against them and it was very hard to earn back. At six, I thought it was something all the 4 sisters ate, they ate certain donuts and candies. So my childhood brain thought it was evil lol so I refused to eat it. I instead smiled and was nice while they made fun of me and they picked on me but whatever. In HS someone said I lived in a perfect world because I would skip everywhere and smile and hug everyone, kind of like Amagi. That upset me because that was just my facade that got me through the day. Then I realized maybe I was giving off an unrealistic self and I wanted to be a proper role model, I thought the happiness was enough. So then I started being more open, honest, and making sure to seek out others that looked on the outside like I felt on the inside and I would give them hugs that I did not give at home. If I could make people smile and feel loved then I was happy with my day :) Im so excited to see the story grow it makes me so happy.
