update! 🫶🏻

How’s it going? Just thought I’d do a little update as it’s been a minute.

I just got done filming a load of content today, one full length cover and a couple of Instagram videos…different to usual, topical and also some stuff that’s a bit trendy haha.

I feel quite exhausted and confused with everything at the moment, well I did, until I decided what I need to do haha.

I’ve been making content on YouTube for years now and I feel oversaturated and worn out…I think you can tell my heart isn’t fully in it too, to be honest.

I’ve decided that I’d like to step back a little bit, I don’t think I’ll stop all together, but I might reduce my content there. Even though it’s not a manic schedule, was like a video a week, has been less than that for a while, it’s still regular maintenance and a lot of work to keep up. The cover I filmed today will have taken me like 6 days in total to prepare, and although I adore it, the financial reflection against how much time it takes me to create isn’t enough to be totally honest. I can’t monetise my covers, due to copyright, which is totally fair and it’s the consequence but I don’t think I can keep doing it forever.

The other trouble with covers is, I’ve built up a huuuuge audience thanks to them, and for that I’m SO grateful. But what I truly care about is BXRRELL, and making that my full time thing eventually. The covers that get attention aren’t going to be hitting the right target audience for BXRRELL, so I need to rethink how I’m going to do things moving forward.

The plan is to go into making more short form content on Instagram/TikTok with a set schedule to keep me on track and explore & build new audience demographics too, hopefully!

The good news is I should be more active here on patreon as I won’t have my head stuck down in large filming sessions and edits as much haha.

That feels like such a large explanation but this is definitely the place to get it all off my chest! Truthfully, losing Bella has completely turned my world on it’s head, there’s way more to it but I’ll save it for another time.
