Intro story about Gyro hits me hard everytime, hard to watch and can bring me to tears sometimes, but its one of a few scenes in this show that resonate with me on a deeper emotional level that is rare for me in other shows or anime, and in that sense im so glad that Togashi didnt shy away from exploring some darker aspects of life in this arc. It resonates with aspects of my own experience in which may be a bit on the darker side, or is rarely light hearted happy or prosperous, and Gyros conclusion - 'dont make trouble for humans... i must not be human' is something that I can relate to, despite it being far from the truth. Its something i subjectively felt at certain points for similar reasons as this fictional character, though my experience wasnt as severe and I didnt turn into a psychopath of his sort ofc.

And I remember Wing saying that every human has aura, it just takes talent and mastery to be able to use it. Maybe being reborn as a Chimera Ant made them stronger than a regular human, and that was enough for them to be able to see Nen.

And yes, the tone of the opening is WAY too happy for this arc :P Hisoka's Bungee Gum can be seen by anyone who can see aura in general. You only need to use Gyo when he has masked it with In.
