What Do You Think? - Reading Lists Moving Forward

Hey Everyone,

A little extra mid-month check in for all of you. Now that we're in our 6th (!) month of working together on Patreon, I'm interested in exploring the format a bit. Currently, the reading list I send at the top of every month is a pretty exhaustive breakdown of a lot of different reading and resources on a source. While I love doing the deep dive on a subject, I've found the time it takes to format and tie these links together is much longer than I'd anticipated.

I see the Reading List moving in two different possible directions.

A) It could become a more pared down collection of links and recommendations, (like a bibliography for an unpublished work).

B) I could lean into the Book Club idea that some of you mentioned when I started doing "Read of the Month," and pick one book a month (paired with 1-2 songs, articles, or podcasts that are a good companion). Then towards the end of the month I can share the video of me reading a favorite section, so folks who haven't picked up the book yet get another sample, and folks who have can comment on their experience.

Let me know your thoughts! We can try something new for a few months and see how it goes. As a big fan of iteration, I'm excited to work on this together.
