Important to note that Archers words when berating Shirou also apply to Saber which is another reason she looks so upset. (other then him stabbing Shirou lol)

Roll for your favorite characters and watch in despair as your hard earned currency is being flushed down the drain trying to get that one servant you want and it just wont appear why wont it appear aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh! *cough* It's a great game though.
2019-03-30 21:46:29 +0000 UTCThere is another reason why Shirou has a strong affinity for swords as well (according to the wiki), but Avalon is what caused his 'magical affinity' to be attuned to swords.

2019-03-30 02:03:05 +0000 UTCLancer is indeed AMAZING. It really sucks for him that he got stuck with Kirei but hey, he (and Diarmuid from Zero) doesn't have an E in luck for nothing. Regarding how long he was able to stay alive for so long, he actually has a skill that basically allows him to keep fighting for a little while even when gravely wounded (I don't remember the exact details of it). If I remember correctly it comes from how he in his legends once tied himself to a tree after getting so wounded he couldn't stand just so he could continue fighting. Now that you know that Shirou has had Avalon within him this whole time: Avalon was the catalyst he involuntarily used to summon Saber. It was also the reason had had extraordinary healing abilities that stopped working when Saber got taken by Caster. And finally, Avalon is the reason he has such a strong affinity for swords.
