FATE SN UBW 1x5 Reaction EARLY ACCESS

And here we see the inner conflict between Tohsaka Rin the mage and Tohsaka Rin the person. Also, this is the major difference in story structure from Zero I mentioned earlier. As you've noticed it focuses on a set of main characters instead of everyone. Since Stay Night as a whole is divided into three routes there will also be certain characters who don't really feel like they were utilized properly or get proper closure if you only look at a single route. So basically, if you at the end feel like a character didn't get enough screen time then chances are they either did get it in Fate or will get it in Heaven's Feel.

As a normal not-so-hardcore Fate fan passing by, I'm also gonna drop an essay. UBW is one of the most straight forward series in the Fate franchise because it's from the original Fate work and works as a bridge between the first route and the third route, and I believe the third route, Heaven's Feel, was the one that the writer really wanted to write. Besides, the original story containing three main routes means you'll only get one-third of the elements of the fifth grail war at the end of the UBW anime so you may often feel confused. The anime not showing monologues is also a big reason for it, which we can't really blame the staff because that's how it's supposed to be. The fifth Holy Grail War is an odd one comparing to a normal grail war which doesn't really exist, but the fourth is relatively normal. There are dozens of Fate series and around 200 servants so far in the universe, which is in a bigger universe called Nasuverse, so you still got a long way go if you decide to continue the journey haha. btw it's Fujimura, not Fujiwara lol

It was not directly after, he raised Shirou for awhile before passing, there are lots of flashbacks with him way after F/Z end, and the actual number is in other medias if you wish to find out.

kiritsugu actually died directly after that scene with Shirou at the end of F/Z

Haha, I'm one those guys who'd write an essay. I think the anime does an okay job with adapting Shirou. since this was my intro to the series and I could understand what his motivations were. My biggest hope for any reactor (or anyone watching) is to maybe not fully understand Shirou, but at least be able to identify his prime character traits and not finish the show thinking he's bland.

Rohit Nair

Yeah, Shirou's mindset is pretty complicated, but it's difficult to get a good grasp of it with just this anime. It's understandable to think he's "vanilla", and you're definitely not alone in thinking that, but at the same time, there are plenty of Fate fans out there who would argue the exact opposite: that he's one of the most interesting, well constructed characters out there. I'm sure some die-hard Shirou fan will write you a huge fucking essay on why that's the case if you bring the topic up again later in the series, but for now, just know that the show is trying to depict him as being NOT okay in the head.
