Diarmuid saved Kayneth because he's honor bound as a Knight to protect his avowed lord as the code of chivalry mandates. Kiritsugu basically shat all over their code of honor. What Kiritsugu did to them was cheap, underhanded and scummy, and there's no way to deny that. He didn't interfere to save Saber, or even to provide assistance. He interrupted their fight with no regard for their honor and trampled on Diarmuid's last wish just because he could. I don't blame Kiritsugu for doing that, it's well within his character to do so, but Diarmuid's rage is completely justified. It's NOT hypocritical.

Saber isnt affected cuz of her high magic resist and iri is not even human so i thihnk thats why it didnt work. the average woman wud probably fall under it. And yes lelouch and kiritsugu are quite alike(thats why they my favorite lol) and honestly as shitty of a death lancer got i couldnt feel for him as much cuz if u think back towards the first season when kiritsugu and kayneth fought lancer also interrupted that 1v1 duel (which saber allowed him to). so them being angry at some1 interrupting their fight here is hypocritical. if kiritsugu killed kayneth then this scenario wouldnt hav happend.

2019-01-15 03:15:49 +0000 UTCGreat reaction! Saber and Kiritsugu's ideological clash at the end is another of my favorite scenes from any Fate series. And like the ideological clash during the Banquet of Kings, neither of them is 100% correct. Glad you caught that Lancer thought Saber was in on the plan! Most reactors miss that. It's a subtle detail that makes Lancer's death all the more tragic.
