It doesn't put extra spin but it makes the ball spining in opposite direction. Instead of right-spin it has left-spin. Even small deviations can be hard to adjust with so much force

Being a left-handed spiker doesn't necessarily put extra spin on the ball, but Nishinoya who is used to receive spikes from right-handed players must adjust how he positions himself when receiving a spike from someone who is left-handed, given the ball's trajectory and spin are slightly different.
