2018-08-01 06:10:49 +0000 UTCThe reason Amane had amnesia after travelling back to 1975 was that there was still a part of the time machine that was broken from the storm that they weren't aware of. So that caused her brain damage. I don't remember how many days had passed between the night of the storm and the day that Amane used the time machine, if it was more than 2 days though, then memory time-leaping 2 days wouldn't be enough. What Okabe used the d-mail for at the end was to make himself NOT chase after Amane and stop her from leaving that night of the storm (which he had not done in the first place, but actually had sent himself a d-mail telling himself to stop her from leaving, which changed the divergence number further away from 1%). Because of that, the time machine wasn't ever broken and Amane succeeded in her mission of getting the IBN, thus the divergence number changed to the .4--- whatever it is now,. As for that sequence of the 'faceless' people in lines, I think it was supposed to be representative of the future Amane came from. She mentioned in the beginning that people were mindless and and hopeless, 'sleepwalking' through their lives.
