Blimey! Looks like it's all gone a bit 'Hammer Horror' at Capcom! If the last boss isn't a Castlevania-style fight with a vampire who bears an uncanny resemblance to the late Christopher Lee I will very disappointed (but not in the least bit surprised!) Jokes aside, this does look very intriguing. It's strange to see an RE trailer lean quite so hard into what would be considered otherworldly tropes like warewolves and vampires. It kind of reminds me of the demo from RE7 where you had the ghost girl appearances (though these were of course absent in the full game). My thoughts are it will follow a similar vein to 4 where the cause for these creatures is something tangible and organic but some people (the vampire girls/social elites) have some degree of control over them similar to how Salazar and Saddler used the Las Plagas to make themselves stronger and to enslave the Ganados as worker drones. The foetal symbol actually reminded me of an issue of Hellblazer called The Crib (think it was during Warren Ellis's brief run) where a man believes he's being controlled by the miscarried foetus of the antichrist (wholesome stuff obviously!) The two just looked similar to me. I'm wondering if the symbol represents some kind of progenitor organism that maybe the rural villagers still revere as some kind of deity? It makes me think of those horror movies where "enlightened" Christianity is pitted against the more ancient pagan "gods" of the earth that still require human sacrifices for sustanance. All wild speculation but at least it passes the time! No idea what's going on with Chris. Maybe he's become compromised? Like how Barry was in the first game. Nice analysis, Suzi. On point as always. The creation of life parallel with the foetus symbol was an interesting catch along with the "REV III" theory (may be a little too "Da Vinci Code" but you never know!) Also glad you've managed to break through your writer's block. That can be a real pain in the proverbial the longer it goes on so kudos!

Just finished watching it over on YouTube, and it’s amazing how much information you’ve pulled from just a short amount of time since the trailer released. But it was really insightful and your hypothesises on what parts of the trailer could be alluding to we’re really interesting 😊
