ABOUT THIS PROJECT
Tragedy in the Shadow of Glory: The Untold Dark History of Zaku Development was a one-shot comic work by Yuji Kaida, published in the August 2003 issue of Gundam Ace magazine. Kaida is also known for his Gunpla package artwork and special effects production art. The work spans six pages in full color and is structured more like an illustrated story than a traditional comic. According to Kaida himself, this was his first time receiving this type of commission. The story was later included in the anthology Mobile Suit Gundam: THE ANTHOLOGY Vol. 2. It was also featured in large format in Gundam Gachō (Gundam Art Book) published in 2019.
