Yeah made sure it was on it's giving me an error/k start /min "emu" c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe" /k (the same path) && exit make sure you typed the name correctly and try again.

Reinstall selecting the drive where the SD card is, all the emulators will be on C, and the roms on the SD Card

Nope, my plan was to have emudeck on the ssd and the game library on the SD. However, when I tried parsing it didn't find the games, just the emulators.

Cloud saves via Google drive don’t seem to work. The button to sync on the cloud sync page does nothing. I log into my account I get the message about how it will upload when I save. On my PC I have my new save and on my Ally I have the old save. Is their something I am missing?

No. When I launch the emulators through steam and try to change the keybinds, it is acting as if I have desktop mode enabled on the Ally controls even though it's forced to gamepad mode. Like if I try to change a keybind to B it makes it backspace. Steam is showing that the controller is using the normal Xbox controller layout.

When I have steam input enabled, no hotkeys work for any emulators I use, which are all of the Nintendo ones. I tried doing a reset config for each but nothing changed. When I disable it, it starts working.

Hmm. I will try enabling it again to see what happens when I get home tonight. If I am playing all my games through ES, do the steam settings for ES apply or the individual emulator?

It’s supposed to be a plug and play installation. There’s probably something wrong with your system. Send me a video showing how you do all the steps and I’ll try to find what’s missing

I had to actually force steam input off in emulation station to get it to work on my Ally. Now it works for every system except 3DS

Did all of that! Quick reset, gamepad mode on opened steam. Ran the game. Nada. No controls work not sure if I'm just incompetent.

Don’t adjust settings, that could just broke the setup. Follow this steps in this order: Make sure you have game pad mode, not auto. Then open EmuDeck, do a quick reset, open Steam, run any rom from Steam and report back

Still can't get a single control to work on the ROG Ally running through steam. I've tried everything, adjusting configs, resetting steam settings, gamepad mode. Nothing works.

The game works using RPCSX3 but only if I open it from tools/launchers/rpcs3 - if i try to launch it from ES it tells me that error

Did you change the emulator to RPCSX3 Directory? And did you install the firmware on the emulator?

I made all the changes for ES but when i try to boot the game from ES an error appear ["roms/ps3/InFamous.ps3" nothing to boot]. How can I solve?

Thanks. Been trying that for months. I just tried it again with no luck. When I check the EmulationStation launcher in the Emulation\tools\EmulationStation-DE folder, the date modified says "3/11/2023" which was the original date of the first install. I just can't seem to ever update EmulationStation. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the response. Opened power shell in the folder and ran each command one by one. Both times it said that the package was already installed and that no upgrade was found. When trying to install after through emudeck the same issue occured

the same thing happened to me on our AOKZOE test machine, never happened before on any other device. open powershell and run this commands: winget install -e --id Git.Git --accept-package-agreements --accept-source-agreements winget install -e --id 7zip.7zip --accept-package-agreements --accept-source-agreements

Having a really strange issue, whenever I go through the process of installing, the installer starts, prompts me to install 7 zip, which is already installed, at which point the command line closes and just displays that neither 7 zip or steam are installed and I cannot continue the installation process

I went into Yuzu directly and dropped the keys into the needed folders instead of going through Emudeck. Then I just launched Yuzu through the Armory crate game library. This was the only work around I found that worked for me.

I am still getting the "Encryption keys are missing" but I have just dumped and dropped all of the new ones with the newest firmware as well. I installed it on thePc, and I get a Emudeck Steam Rom manager icon. I dont get this on the ROG Ally. 2nd. How do I start any program? i dont see it in the Steam manager, like the Emustation 2.0 ? only the gaming consoles.

unknown at the moment, we need to get fixed other stuff before trying to add this functionality. Technically if you go steam and create a desktop shorcut and then add that shortcut to armoury create...that should work but haven't tested it yet

Unfortunately, the dimming occurs when I launch a game or emulation station. It seems the dimming only affects the desktop, not the game itself, and restarting the monitor fixes it. It's annoying, but I can tolerate it, I suppose.

How do I fully uninstall Emudeck and remove all directories, folders, files it creates? I installed for the ROG Ally and I am having this weird issue during the initial setup where you select a drive and then it keeps bringing me back to the beginning where I select Custom setup and would to start from fresh install again.

hi, thanks for the emudeck im now a patron now Im trying to use the new “sync emudeck” on my steam deck to next sync my saves to my rog ally. Its not working in the SD because after I choose dropbox or google drive it shows a notfication of copy one file, i click the file and its a loggin screen from dropbox or google drive.. but after click on loggin it does not work… what im doing wrong?? thanks !!

It also seems that the power profiles don't work great with it either. Not sure if it's because I had already installed yuzu before? Maybe that's affecting it? I haven't checked with any other emulators to see if that's only an issue with yuzu

I am getting a weird issue. I previously had yuzu installed on my ally. Then I downloaded the emudeck for windows and it installed it again (I chose my micro SD as the main folder). The emulators themselves get installed on the C drive it seems. Whenever I open the yuzu emulator that was installed with emudeck I seem to loose about 5-10 fps compared to the one I had previously installed. Is this a common issue?

The SD card appears as a regular drive, maybe it’s D:, please check windows file explorer to see the name of the drive that windows assigned to the SD card

Is there any way to keep emulators from opening in full-screen mode? Every time I run an emulator, my monitor's brightness lowers, and I have to turn my monitor off and on to fix it.

When i try to run yuzu games via steam big picture (added with SRM) yuzu just opens and i get this error: Error while loading ROM! (007-0034) The NSP file is missing a Program-type NCA. Since yuzu opened, i can open the game and it plays normally. But its weird that i get this error and the game doesnt open itself like with other emulators

Yuzu working fine with steam input. Ryujinx isn't for me. Have to keep switching between internal ally controller and Bluetooth controller in Ryu settings.

Sorry for the late response. So if Im Playing raging blast 2. To ascend In the air is to long press the L bumper. If I long press it it registers as if I just tapped it for a jump animation.

So the RPCS3/EmulationStation fix now makes them actually appear in ES, but they won’t run, since it tries to run the entire folder and not the individual files. As it stands, shortcuts are still the only way to make them both appear and run from ES.

You can update the software, but without a response from someone why it's showing up as a virus with Windows Defender, I don't think I'm going to update it. I would really like to know, before I allow Windows Defender to do the update, why it's popping up as a virus. Basing on my understanding after reading about what type of virus it's stating the virus protection is blocking, I don't trust doing the update till there is an answer. You can allow the update if you're using Windows defender by just opening windows defender and stating the file is safe. Can someone provide an answer for this please?

When I attempted to install the newest version of Emudeck, Windows Defender is saying there is a virus. I don't know if this is a false positive. The trojan it's detecting is Wacatac.B!ml. Is this normal?

Thanks for the update! I can now see my ps3 games on emulationstation but when I try to run them they don’t boot which is strange as they do when I launch them from rpcs3 so not sure why they don’t on ES :/
