Well, mostly of his odor is basically from him not taking care of himself, not showering properly, basically taking care only of his weapons. At some comic books after having some with random women Wade mentioned something like "sometimes it's worth showering". So I think him not taking care of himself is heavily connected to his mental health. In my head, he is in better place with Peter and the later probably makes him take care of himself/Wade does it himself for Peter.
