This is my first time doing a solid continuation (meaning having the next book primed and ready by the time the previous book releases) and I'm admittedly a bit nervous about it. The reason being is Amazon long-ago (a few years at least) changed the rules so preorders don't all count on release day, but instead float your rank throughout the preorder process.

That means if you get 100 people buying a book throughout the preorder, your rank (which determines how visible you are to readers and how high up on the charts) will fluctuate but never get very high. If instead you got 100 people buying/borrowing your book on day 1 of launch, your rank would skyrocket and you'd get a ton of visibility that would help other people see your book.

Unfortunately, that's bad for readers. At least in my opinion. It means uncertainty for the vast majority of readers who aren't following socials, newsletter, etc. and they have no idea when to expect the next book.

I'm crossing my fingers extra hard and hoping this ends up working, but I could totally use some help in spreading the word. So if you guys want a free and easy way to help out, drop in one of the thousand recommendation threads popping off daily on your favorite social and mention beastborne!
