Posting Schedule Changes

This was touched on a bit in Ch25 of Beastborne, but I felt this was important enough to warrant its own post.

Some of you may have noticed that Patreon has decided to do an update to their site. This includes quite a substantial change to the creator section which, while totally manageable, is annoying as all hell. Patreon has never been that great at the best of times especially for authors due to the way their editor handles copy/pasting (ever see something "likethis"? That's Patreon getting weird with italics pasted in) but now it's a bit worse.

What used to take me about a minute per day is taking upwards of 5 because of various issues with the way they decided to hide everything behind layers of drop down menus or entirely new pages, each of which has to be clicked to the "next" and it's just a whole thing

Adding that up over a week of posting, plus unlocking chapters (which is all done 100% manually, no idea why that's not a feature still), and that often means nearly an hour of time is spent just putting the chapters up on Patreon. That doesn't even touch on the time it takes to post on Royal Road. It's a lot of time being spent not writing, and we'd like to change that in a way that minimally impacts you, the reader.

And so, in the interest of my own sanity and to make room for running concurrent stories on this Patreon, we'll be moving into a weekly chapter drop. Voidknight Ascension will be updated Mondays every week with all 5 chapters for the next week.

Technically, this puts Voidknight ahead of public by another week until the end of the week catches it back up and we repeat on Monday.

New serials/novels will each get their own posting day for the week. Beastborne will be on Sundays, and Saturdays are reserved for an upcoming series featuring a monster MC. Our goal is to make the Patreon a lot easier to navigate and lighten our load as well, which means more writing for us and more books for you.

As always, if you have any comments, please let us know! These books are for you, so if you prefer to read them daily at a time and don't mind a cluttered feed when multiple books are out, then tell us. Your feedback is integral to making sure we provide you with the best we possibly can.

TL;DR:

No worries! I appreciate the support all the same.

I love the work you do, I became a patron to read ahead on beast-borne and used to be a higher tier, I couldn’t really get into void night, and I feel beast-borne is not updated nearly as much. I will still be looking forward to the book release, but will be dropping the patron subscription.
