I'm in new york mostly being a tourist so of course that crept into the lyrics ! [ art imitates life ]
before we jump in, a quickfire round of some RECENT FAVES
to watch: Dijon 'HIGHER' on SNL. SO excellent. (how is he not too hot in that coat?)
to read: 'the invisible life of addie la rue'. I'm almost finished this. took me a while to really get into it but once I did, I was IN
to eat: mac & cheese with sage breadcrumbs. made this recently for friends - the crumb makes it vaguely wintery/festive. I added optional crispy bacon bits + had broccoli on the side [ health ]
I'm here in NYC! loooord I love it here. I'm here because a certain streaming company flew me out to be on a podcast & let me tell you it's not often (ever) anyone flies me out for work things so I jumped at the chance. it's a short trip with plenty of space for mooching about, romanticising my life in coffee shops, etc. I feel lucky
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewrote this idea with a croaky ass morning voice today on my friend regina's guitar!

2025-12-07 23:17:05 +0000 UTCI know you haven't thought about this and that I'm the nerd for pointing it out, but in graph theory indeed every tree is (also) a forest. So this song is mathematically approved! Love the emotions in this, for me it evokes feelings of wandering around with a ray of sunshine on your face. Have fun in NY! :)
