Patreon Merger + Free Access/RR Break

I will be stopping uploads for QiMC2 on RR till December 31st, 2022.

As some of you may know, I have two stories that I post on Royal Road. QiMC2 and Mark of Time. I have been struggling with posting both of them for some time now, and have decided that having posted the end of book 1 of Qi on RR, this would be a good time to take a step like this.

Does this mean the story is dropped?

No, not even close. I have a contract signed for the publishing of five books, each of roughly around 60-100 chapters in length, so there's plenty of things left to write. What this means is that I will be able to write at a pace I'm comfortable with, edit my chapters, and do away with the pressure of posting.

Patreon Merger:

Due to reasons, like starting this particular story from an alt, I have had to make two patrons. It had caused some trouble, and complications, but I have decided to use this chance to merge both my Patreons together and make some big structural changes.

Free access to chapters:

Due to the break in posting on Royal Road, new chapter access will not be provided to lower tiers. This will be extremely unfair to all of you, and as such, I will be providing FREE tier ups to whichever tier you would like access to till the end of this year.

That is to say, if you tier up to the $10 tier, or the $25 tier before 31st August 2022, I will refund you the full amount.

Please keep in mind that whatever tier you choose by the end of this month is FINAL. If you have selected the $10 tier, you will have access to 10 chapters ahead of Royal Road till the end of the year. Any upgrades made after the end of the month will NOT be refunded.

Note: This is only applicable to monthly pledges. For annual pledges, any current annual pledge holders can tier up to the tier of their preference as well, and I will refund the upgrade amount as well. While the billing is paused, the months aren't counted. So if you had 8 months of access left, you will retain the 8 months till the billing restarts in 2023.

Tiers will provide access as such:

$25 - Werd_Addict
- Up to 25+ chapters of QiMC2. Currently there's five.
- Up to 15+ chapters of Mark of Time. Currently there's three.
- Exclusive early access to my next project, Armored Soul.

$10 - Werd_Practitioner
- Up to 10 chapters
- Up to 5 chapters of Mark of Time

$5 - Werd_Enthusiast
- Up to 5 chapters of QiMC2.
- Up to 3 chapters of Mark of Time

$3 - Werd_Appreciator
- Up to 1 chapter of QiMC2
- Up to 1 chapters of Mark of Time

Access to all these tiers is free for the next 4 months, if you sign up for them by the end of this month. I will resume billing from January 1st, 2023.

Schedule:

For chapter postings on Patreon, I will not be following a fixed schedule, but instead, I will be posting as I write them. This will help with reducing pressure on me, and allowing me to write chapters outside of a rigid schedule, and be flexible.

Each chapter upload will be announced from my discord server with a role ping.

Now for the big question. Why hiatus?

The short answer is that my life is something of a mess, and I've been failing to keep my promises and maintain a proper posting schedule for months now. Keeping up with college has been extremely difficult, with its attendance requirements, and the intense semester setup that is present where I study. I've been taking anywhere from 6 to 9 courses each semester, with a minimum requirement of at least 4. This wasn't a major issue when classes were online, but having to attend them physically, while I have moved into a new environment has led me to realize that I am quickly headed towards a mental collapse. Thus, I've decided to prioritize my mental well being.

If you have any questions you'd like to ask me, please leave a comment. I'll be happy to answer them.

Take care, we will wait.

Thanks! Wasn't an easy choice, but yeah, I figured I really needed to

Good luck, and great job pivoting too focus on mental health. It's not always easy to do, but it's always better in the long run.
