June Update

Happy June!! It has officially been over a year since Sunkissed launched and I'm still reeling. Looking forward to many more years to come! (even if my life is getting real wild real quick lol)

Status Report

Chapter 2 of Sunkissed has been done for a longass time, but I only just got to working on Chapter 3 because I spent my last semester making A Fish out of Water and then ended up spending the last week of May making an entire merm au zine (either because I love myself too much or not enough; I can't decide). so there's a lot to update on!!

Chapter 3 of Sunkissed is fully scripted and roughed out. I'm gonna push hard to have a good queue for $10+ patrons. It's only(??) twenty pages, so I should be able to put a dent in it :')

I'm super looking forward to introducing Stephen's roommate, mostly because in one of his opening lines he calls Alex Stephen's A-game and it makes me happy. he's a total bro.

I also mentioned a merm zine (aka the reason why I'm a week behind my intended schedule with Chapter 3, whoops). That'll be 20 pages and include every merm adventure I posted, plus the prints I posted for patrons only. My goal is to have the entire thing finished and formatted by the end of this weekend so I can send it out for a test print. Here's a look at the front/back cover!

The cover and all the prints are/will be uploaded for patrons, as well as the pdf version of the full zine (which you can definitely expect to see this month!) Not sure what the timeline is for printed versions. I'm looking into kickstarter so when I get it ready for print, I can use that $$ to get the whole thing going!

Speaking of physical copies, A Fish out of Water is veeery close to being printed. (I decided I want to add a 3 page, print-exclusive mini comic since it's gonna be available for free online eventually.) That's another thing I'll be using kickstarter for once it's fully finished. In the meantime, the pdf version is available for $10 on patreon!

I also very much want to turn this project into a series. (moooostly because I wasn't able to make them kiss in 26 pages. gonna need more plot than that lol.) For now, I have four more books planned, and they'll all be 24-28 pages.

Life Update

So all of that sounds like a lot and you're probably thinking "wow, it's a good thing your summer vacation is here, Brittany, because how else would you make all of that happen." wELL, I did graduate. My ceremony was last weekend. My diplomas (there are two) should arrive in the mail soon. And in-between my last week of college and convocation, I got a full-time job at a local, non-profit animal shelter as a Volunteer & Community Affairs manager! So what I'm basically trying to say is pray for me :')

I very much want to keep this active for you guys, so I'll maintain a queue to avoid hiatuses (which I would hate to do with a passion). I also want to keep up with monthly wallpapers and sketchbooks. Otherwise, if there's anything lowkey you guys can think of to keep this patreon alive, send away! I'm hoping that once I get used to dealing with physical products I can start sending out wallpapers as postcards regularly, but any other suggestions are welcome!

(Speaking of postcards, I'm going to order them now based on who filled out the address form/contacted me about unsure addresses. Absolutely no guarantees on how long it'll take to receive them/send them out, but I'm excited to test this process!)
