Future Tier Changes in September 2022

What I am announcing won't affect the majority of patrons, but it will affect certain tiers.

The euro is currently equal to the US dollar right now and with that plus global & national inflation, I feel like it's a sign that I should change a few things. I don't control the price Patreon sets tiers to in other currency besides the US dollar in USA, and Patreon also takes more profits from me when it has to do a currency conversion (2.5% added to the other fees Patreon charges me). For example, if I set a tier to $4, then Patreon will set it to €3.50... which is not good for me if the euro is equal to the dollar in real life outside of Patreon (plus I don't actually receive 100% of the €3.50 because of conversion fees and other Patreon fees). Other currencies have been weaker too within the past year while Patreon still converts those prices based off conversions over a year ago. The majority of my patrons aren't American, so if currencies are falling in other countries while Patreon doesn't change the conversion rates... it's simply not good for me. I can't combat all of this but I can try to mitigate a little bit of this.

Anyways...

First, I have deleted the Poll Finalist ($6 USD or Patreon currency conversion equivalent) and Polls Finalists X2 ($11 USD or Patreon currency equivalent) tiers. Nobody ever used those tiers, so I have deleted them.

Second, I will be deleting the Retro Otter and Retro Kobold ★ tiers ($2 USD or Patreon currency conversion equivalent) in September 2022. $3 tiers will still be available.

Third, I will be changing the minimum requirement for Scene Selection Generators in September 2022. Scene Selection Generator minimum will go from $6 to $7 (it will currently stay the same for retro tiers). This only affects Kobold ★★★, Otter X2, and Dragon X tiers. Those tiers will lose access to scene selection generators starting September 2022 (instead of receiving a price change).

In review, the changes are only a one dollar difference (and switching to a higher tier will still contain more rewards).

Retro Kobold ★ ($2) and Retro Otter ($2) tiers will be deleted in September 2022.

$2 tiers are unfortunately too cheap given the current state of the world. I will allow those in Retro Kobold ★ ($2) and Retro Otter ($2) to switch to a higher Retro tier (Retro Kobold ★★/Retro Otter X $3 or Patreon currency conversion equivalent). Although I will have to be online with you in order to open up a slot for you to join in a specific Retro tier because it is possible for someone to snipe the spot if you aren't online. If you want to switch from Retro Kobold ★/Retro Otter tier to Retro Kobold ★★/Retro Otter X tier, then you can send me a message on Patreon (or message me on Discord). You can switch to another tier in July or August (or September 1). Patreon does not allow me to put patrons in a tier, you have to manually change the tier yourself.

If you do not cancel your subscription or switch tiers by September, then you will still be charged for the Retro Kobold ★/Retro Otter tier in September and future months until you switch tiers or cancel your subscription because Patreon doesn't automatically cancel your subscription when I delete a tier. Patreon does not allow me to cancel a patron's subscription, you have to manually cancel yourself if you decide to cancel.

I'm going to delete the Retro Kobold ★ and Retro Otter tiers in September 2022, so you don't need to do anything right now. You do not need to switch your tier right now.  I will send out warning messages in August 2022 for those still in the Retro Kobold ★ and Retro Otter tiers. The Retro Kobold ★★ ($3) and Retro Otter X ($3) tiers come with more rewards than the Retro Kobold ★/Retro Otter ($2) tiers. Retro Kobold ★★ contains game files, strategy guides, and biweekly WIPs. Retro Otter X contains game files, strategy guides, monthly WIPs, and the ability to vote in polls. The Retro Kobold ★ and the Retro Otter do not have strategy guides, Retro Kobold ★ has monthly WIPs instead of biweekly WIPs while Retro Otter has no WIPs, so the $3 retro tiers are upgrades of the $2 tiers.

Scene Selection Generators minimum tiers will be $7 instead of $6 starting September 2022

$6 (USD or Patreon currency conversion) non-retro tiers will lose access to scene selection generators in September 2022.

The $6 tiers affected by this are: 

Kobold ★★★, Otter X2, Dragon X. 

I am not changing the price of those tiers. They will keep all other rewards they currently have except for the scene selection generators. As mentioned earlier, Patreon does not let me change the price of a tier if a patron is in the tier, and also, Patreon does not allow me to switch a patron into another tier. If you wish to change tiers, you have to manually switch the tier yourself.

All $7 & up tiers will have scene selection generators. The cheapest tiers (not including retro tiers) with scene selection generators are: 

$7 (USD or Patreon currency equivalent) Kobold ★★★★

$8 (USD or Patreon currency equivalent) Dragon X3; Fox

$10 (USD or Patreon currency equivalent) Otter X4; Coyote

Kobold ★★★, Otter X2, Dragon X will remain having access to scene selection generators in July and August, but will lose access September 1. If you wish to switch to a different tier, the easiest way is by clicking here and selecting the tier: https://www.patreon.com/join/desirelines. You do not need to switch tiers right now, you can wait and do it in September or you can do it at any time between now and September. The Kobold ★★★, Otter X2, Dragon X tiers aren't being deleted, so there is no rush to change, and it is also okay if you decide to simply stay in one of those tiers.

Kobold ★★★ receives weekly WIPs while Kobold ★★★★ receives Two WIPs a Week. Dragon X receives monthly WIPs while Dragon X3 receives biweekly WIPs and their vote is tripled in polls. Otter X2 receives biweekly WIPs and their vote is doubled in polls while Otter X4 receives Two WIPs a Week and their vote is quadrupled in polls. Coyote receives $10 commission credit per month as opposed to Dragon tiers' $5 commission credit per month. Coyote receives biweekly WIPs. Fox receives Two WIPs a Week and can vote in polls (basically Kobold ★★★★ plus polling).
