Season's Greetings

Hope everyone has a nice winter season! Or a nice summer season if you are in the southern hemisphere (in which case, pretend that the snow globe is representing pollen).

Alternate Fella Sprite

I was debating whether or not the blank white version or the orange version would be Little Fella's shiny form as a Pokémon. On the one hand, Fella is supposed to be a naturally orange cat, I just don't color a lot of the animations. On the other hand, because I so rarely color in the frames, maybe orange Fella is the rare variant.

Little Fella Acrylic Charms Test

A quick test to see how Fella would look on solid acrylic with paint-filled engraving. I design in Illustrator, then input the settings on the laser and run it. Magical Kitty Animation Process (Line Art)

To start off, here's the line art for a short practice animation I did. It features a magical little kitty casting a very powerful spell.

This was to demonstrate some of the principles of animation such as anticipation, follow through, and overlapping action. I really wanted to create a sense of force, so I had the kitty's arms (and whole body) kind of push back from the blast of the spell.

I also wanted to portray a sense of character through body language. There's a ...
