Tier Changes & Plans - May 2022

It's a new month and there are some new changes to some of the tiers. A few new tiers have been created. A few unused old tiers have been deleted. If there is a certain type of tier you want created (something like a game update commission tier for something not already listed or some type of new story commission), please let me know by messaging me. On an unrelated note, I banned a scraper yesterday. The scraping website did not scrape the comment section of my posts so they received no files (and I changed all file links anyway after I banned the scraper). April was a bad month so here's hoping May will be better.

The biweekly WIP itch playable online link (https://desirelinesgames.itch.io/biweekly-wip-1/patreon-access) will change from $6+ tiers to $8 & up tiers because I have created a new $6 tier that has monthly WIP but not biweekly WIPs. Patrons in biweekly WIP access tiers below $8 will still be able to access biweekly files through the Biweekly WIPs Updates post links.

The monthly WIP itch playable online links will change from $5+ tiers to $6 & up tiers because I have created a new $5 tier that does not have monthly WIPs. Patrons in monthly WIP access tiers will still be able to access monthly files through the Monthly WIPs Updates post links.

Deleted Unused Tiers: Game Theme X2 ($10); Coyote X6 ($13); Game Update Content Finalist X3 ($15); Game Update Finalist X4 ($20); Strategy Guide/Scene Selection Generator ($20); Extra Game Update X5 ($40); Extra GameUpdate + Content Preference X6 ($60); Extra Game Update Preference X7 ($80); Extra Game Update Pref + Content Pref X8 ($100).

I had 49 different tiers in April 2022, which is a lot and potentially intimidating for any potential newcomers looking to sign up to a tier. None of the above tiers had any patrons in them at any point since the creation of those tiers iirc, so I've deleted those tiers to make my tier system less complicated.

Deleted Previously-Used Tiers: Game Theme ($5); Boyfriend Summon Endings ($10)

Game Theme was a tier that I had set at 1 patron limit. The patron in that tier had their payment declined in February 2022. Patreon still counts the patron as being reserved in that tier spot even though Patreon does not count the person as an active patron. The former patron had February, March, and April to correct their payment but there has been no successful attempts (and it seems like Patreon made no attempts at billing in March or April or May) and the person has not tried to reach out to me. I think it's best to simply delete the tier than to let it take up space on the tier list. I might make a new Game Theme tier in the future.

Boyfriend Summon Endings tier was a tier I created in April 2022. One patron joined. I spent several hours messaging the patron back-and-forth over several days/weeks to figure out what new scenes the patron wanted. The patron was happy with the new scenes I added but ended up cancelling their patron subscription for an unrelated reason. The amount of time I spent messaging the patron was not worth the price of the tier. If all future patrons in the tier knew the scenes they wanted ahead of time then the tier price might be acceptable, but potentially spending several hours/days messaging someone for $10 (not including the amount of time it takes to write the new scenes) is not worth it so I'm ending this tier for now. This is not something I experience with my other Boyfriend Summon tiers (I send each of them one message, they each send me back one message, barely any time spent communicating/consulting). If anyone wants me to remake this Boyfriend Summon Endings tier and knows the scenes they wanted added to the game ahead of time, then I would be willing to remake this tier again.

New Tiers: Dragon ($5), Dragon X ($6), Dragon X3 ($8); Poll Finalist ($6); Polls Finalists X2 ($11)

New Dragon tiers should not be confused with Retro Dragon tiers (Dragon tiers created pre-April 2022). I'm making a $5 commission tier for new patrons post-April 2022.

Dragon ($5) has $5 commission credit added per month and has access to all finished games, strategy guides, and polling.

Dragon X ($6) has the above plus scene selection generators and monthly WIPs.

Dragon X3 ($8) has the above plus biweekly WIPs and their vote counts three times in polls.

Dragon X3 is similar to the Retro Dragon X3 tier except with different price. Dragon X is similar to the Retro Dragon tier except with a different price. Dragon is similar to the Retro Dragon tier except without monthly WIPs and scene selection generators.

Poll Finalist ($6) has access to all finished games, strategy guides, scene selection generators, monthly WIPs, and polling. Additionally, Poll Finalist patrons can nominate one choice to advance a poll per month. The patron can select to advance a choice from a monthly poll which includes: a game theme poll, a game update poll, a strategy guide poll, a scene selection generator poll, OR a queue poll. The choice of which poll to choose from is theirs and the content to advance from the poll is theirs. If advancing a game update choice, the patron can choose to advance a game OR can choose to advance the specific content of that game's poll-if the game would have advanced anyways. For example: If the patron wants to advance Smashing Stag Party but Smashing Stag Party already is in the lead for most votes, then instead the patron can choose to advance the specific content from the Smashing Stag Party poll which would result in the Smashing Stag Party game having two choices on the game update runoff poll (the choice that receives the most votes overall on the Smashing Stag Party poll and the Poll Finalist patron's personal choice from the Smashing Stag Party poll). If the patron selects The Thirteen Heroes of Isidoro to advance (which would not have advanced if not selected), then the choice that receives the most votes in The Thirteen Heroes of Isidoro Poll will advance to the runoff game update poll to represent The Thirteen Heroes of Isidoro. Note: The Poll Finalist's choice only advances to a runoff poll, it is not guaranteed to win the final runoff poll (although it is possible it can win). Note: If the patron selects to advance a choice from the strategy guide poll or scene selection generator poll or queue poll, then there will be a runoff poll between the top choice of the (Strategy Guide or Scene Selection Generator or Queue) poll and the Poll Finalist's choice. As a reminder, there are no carryover votes in runoff polls so each choice starts off with zero votes as opposed to most monthly polls.

Polls Finalists X2 ($11) has access to all finished games, strategy guides, scene selection generators, weekly WIPs, and their vote counts twice in polls. Additionally, Polls Finalists X2 patrons can nominate one choice to advance each poll per month (like the above Poll Finalist except Polls Finalists X2 can advance a choice from each poll instead of only one poll per month). The patron can select to advance a choice from each monthly poll which includes: a game theme poll, a game update poll, a strategy guide poll, a scene selection generator poll, AND a queue poll. The patron can also select the chosen game update choice's game content from its specific game update content poll. Example: Patron chooses Were Tent to advance and chooses All female NPCs mode to represent Were Tent in the runoff poll. Note: If a patron is in this tier, then we'll do runoff polls for the Strategy Guide poll, Scene Selection Generator poll, and Queue poll between the top choice in each poll against the Poll Finalist's choice. As a reminder, there are no carryover votes in runoff polls so each choice starts off with zero votes as opposed to most monthly polls. 

Changes to the Boyfriend Summon tiers were mentioned in Future Changes to Boyfriend Summon Tiers; New Mini Poll Starting in May. In summary: (A) Each Boyfriend Summon tier patron selects a(n existing) boyfriend character to be in a Boyfriend Summon poll (that will be created May 29 with results revealed on June 3). The winning character of the poll receives five new scenes. We will continue doing this every month with the winning nominated character each month receiving 5 new scenes. (B) Unrelated to the above, Boyfriend Summon ($20) selects a character to receive 7 new scenes in May, Boyfriend Summon X2 ($25) selects a character to receive 9 new scenes in May, Boyfriend Summon X3 ($30) selects a character to receive 11 new scenes in May. (C) Scenes will be decreased again in June. Boyfriend Summon ($20) selects a character to receive 6 new scenes in June, Boyfriend Summon X2 ($25) selects a character to receive 7 new scenes in June, Boyfriend Summon X3 ($30) selects a character to receive 8 new scenes in June. I don't plan on decreasing the amount of scenes below that.

The patron in the Boyfriend Summon ($20) tier dropped out before May, so there will only be two choices in the May 29 - June 3 Boyfriend Summon poll (unless someone joins the Boyfriend Summon tier before the end of the month).

New change for unfilled $30 specific game commission tiers: A Pet Project For Science X3; Fur Friend Fantasy X3; Minotaur Maze Madness X3; Smashing Stag Party X3; Tavern Tricks X3. They are now $40 X4 tiers with their votes counting four times in polls. The unfilled $60 Two $30 Updates X6 tier is now $80 Two $40 Updates X8 tier with their vote counting eight times in polls.
